I know there are some uses of red, but I don't ever remember seeing green in the game. Anyway, was nice to get back into a game with more appealing visuals. The only Green you'll find in this game is either the scattered specks of Grass or Gallente equipment and that's the sad truth.
DUST 514, where the color palette has about the same complexity as an Xbobx Fanboy's vocabulary.

But here's the odd thing though.
This game actually had A LOT more color back in beta than we do now.
You had uniquely colored suits, albeit not as many as we have now but they were so well colored that it made up for it.
You had maps that were covered in snow/ash to give it a different feel. There were even night maps were you couldn't see **** in the very early days (back when hit detection was the lolest thing ever).
PRO weapons weren't all boring black.
Standard, advanced and prototype weapons all had different colors.
Officer weapons looked more unique.
And more crap that I'm missing.
They seriously sucked this game of all diverse color.
And the best thing is, THERE WASN'T EVEN A REASON TO TAKE OUT THE COLORS THEY JUST SYSTEMATICALLY REMOVED COLORS. (check your Dev privilege)

This has more to do with art direction; Dust art team wanted to set for something gritty and well they got gritty but used a very limited pallette for it. Gritty doesn't have to be a mud mess as other games proven (last of us) but using the wrong shade of the rainbow can lead to a fantastical my little guardian experience. I have implored the legion art team to explore a wider color set. We have enough gritty shooters thank you very much. while we do have enough Gritty shooters
I still don't have a problem with it as long as it doesn't equate to a boring ass lifeless palette (which most people do).
This is the world of New Eden, I get that the planets we play on right now are barran, terrestrial, industry, planets but that doesn't mean all maps have to be.
When Legion comes out I want to finally be about to fight in a Minmatar Slum on a planet in LowSec When Legion comes out I want to fight in a Contested Low-sec Gallente Transport station fighting/fighting for Pirates contractors trying to take control of it. When Legion comes I want to fight off a Blood Raider Ambush on an Amarr Compound.
Can you imagine how Diverse all those places would be? That's the issue with a lot of games. All maps have the same theme and same feel to it due to it all being based in 1 or more country in the same few settings.
Legion could stop that, With at least a few new entirely new settings and planets.
Diversity of maps equals = fun
