Currently, restocking a fitting restocks 1 item of everything fitted onto the suit. While this does seem ideal for players who have an exact number of modules for each suit, it can prove to be very frustrating and unnecessarily expensive for others.
I find that winning large amounts of items from events doesn't mean as much as it should either, as you will most likely be forced to purchase an item again (defeating the purpose of having more than 1), if you want to make it back into the battle ASAP, which is usually the difference between holding and loosing an objective.
The current restock system also encourages stockpiling as opposed to only purchasing items that you use, which can (and most likely does) taint the information obtained from your Market Data.
I request, that the restock system is changed to where it only restocks items that are depleted. That way, players looking to save ISK aren't forced to waste time fiddling with their Dropsuit Fitting.

While that might not be bad for players using Starter Fits or Heavy Frames, it is far too time consuming for players using a suit with elaborate slot layouts, such as a Prototype Logistics.

I run Proto Logi and I can see both sides of the argument. Sometimes I want to only restock what I need, and other times I would just as soon get everything done in one shot. What if instead of going from one extreme to the other, when you click restock, just have a secondary choice of the entire fit or only depleted items? It won't add and real time to the length of restocking and allows people a simple either/or option.

I think what you are trying to get at is the development of a "Batch Restocking" module. I recall that this idea has been proposed a few times before, but it has always been kicked to the backlog every time. Personally, I'd like to see the "Assets" page of the marketplace tailored to do exactly this.
Somehow, go through your entire Assets list and "check/select" the assets to be replenished, and by how many units. When the user is done, a confirmation prompt would pop-up giving a final report of what assets would be replenished and by what quantity. After the user reviews that report, they confirm and the batch order is processed.

I never understood why we didn't offer both choices  .
I have asked for this since the day it was changed, but don't worry, this was and always has been on my list.

Glad to know we haven't been yelling at deaf ears  Always hated the restocking system since it's been changed.

This it why it rocks that they put a player in charge! I am so glad that Rattati happened to be working for CCP and was already in Shanghai when they decided they needed someone to look after DUST.

Rattati I just want to say thanks for looking out for us. You and your development team has improved this game by leaps and bounds.
all I ask is that the change be implemented asap
I also noticed that when trying to restock a fit with unique gear it won't let you because "this item is not available on market" forcing you to manually go to edit fit and restock each item individually consuming a lot of time preventing you from getting back into the fight with your desired fit. If you could fix this bit it'd be awesome
