Are any others going to Planetside2 with strong numbers of members? Looks like a really good time.

Being able to play in a platoon with multiple members from your clan and not have to Q synch seems appealing, vehicles are not overpowered etc, etc, etc...
See you all there as my whole corp plans on moving to that when it hits. Until then we're burning up tons of isk and proto for fun till better games come along...

It does look fantastic! Vehicle balance, Mechs!! Tons of different vehicles, huge battles, looks sweet. Gonna try to get my whole alliance under one flag over there, DF will welcome any solo brothers of Dust with open arms, we're looking at which empire to choose. New Conglomerate looks good.

Mixed feelings.
It's fun, but it has its problems too. Yeah I'm sure it does, I guess I just need a breath of something new, something without such obvious imbalances. Like I said before, being able to go into battle with thirty of my Clanmates in one group, on comms, have aerial and ground vehicle squads, flanker squads, seems like a lot more variety. I'm sure there are issues but nothing like this...

Yes but I hear anti vehice weaponry works a lot better.

So do vehicle mounted anti-infantry weapons. Think of a railgun with 8m splash that is liable to instantly kill infantry in the splash zone and you'll have a HEAT turret. The aircraft can do similar things. Sounds like fun instead of the same triple repping Maddys you see every match, or redline rail sniping sica, I need variety man, as long as there is an effective counter to a situation, I don't mind trying and dying, But this game right now vehicles are invincible.

I'm unsure if you quite get the point. In PS2, sometimes there is tank spam like you have never seen in DUST. If one tank with an insta kill 8m splash turret wasn't bad enough, what do you think 30 are like when they're camping the spawn room so if you leave the shield door you get instantly killed? It's a fun game until that happens, though. The territory mechanics seem pretty poor to me but when you've not got zerg columns rolling about and you can finally find an even fight it can be great. I got your point, my point was AV weaponry is more effective, I have talked to other people who play that have said the same about the Zerg columns of tanks.

Well, since you have both derailed my very basic question of a thread, attitudes like this are exactly why DF can't wait to move on from DUST. Negativity, blah, blah, blah, just want to talk about something new, sit here and rot, we're moving on, enjoy your in depth skill tree with nothing at the end of it except a closed server.
So which Corps are planning to try PS2, and I mean "real corps" in existence longer than four weeks...
