The scrambler pistol needs its old RoF back, it just seems so inefficient now. The difference between a automatic and a semi-automatic is the automatic has a fixed RoF, a semi automatic weapon that doesn't need to be charged, like the scrambler rifle, should shoot at the rate you click the fire button. To be totally honest, I am only saying this for my own benefit. It took me months to skill into proficiency 3 to use my wolfmans scrambler pistols, and the next day after I finally did, they got nerfed. What a waste of sp.
Sentinel: I am heavy weapons guy...
Commando: I got a RR and a CR, Im so good.
Logi: In it 4 the points and points only.

It took you months to get the 900K SP (approx) to go from Scrambler Pistol 0 to Scrambler 5 and proficiency 3? At passive skills only, you get about 1K per hour, so it would take you, without playing, or logging in for daily bonuses, 37 days to get this trained up, maximum. Add in 6k/day login bonus, and getting halfway to the cap each week (very doable), using NO boosters, getting NO bonus SP from events, this would take 3 weeks. If you want to prove your point, don't lie like a politician. If you want to lie and prove your point, don't get caught. uh, ok father.1st of all, talk about the topic, 2nd, I get an average of 1-2 hours of play a day, its all the time I have. So dont take it the wrong way, but your ignorance is stupid and unnecessary.

MINA Longstrike wrote:The scrambler pistol is still *amazing*, it does not need a RoF buff - the basic scrambler fires 4.75 times a sec, and the assault fires 5.01 times, the breach is down to 2.25 (which is a tradeoff for its insane damage). Land headshots with them and you will one or twoshot most suits.
The Ion and Flaylock need some major improvements.
The Bolt pistol's only *real* issue is its magazine size and the spoolup between shots.
2/4 pistols are still absolutely amazing sidearms - if you want to shoot faster take a SMG. sure it doesn't "Need" a RoF buff, but to get it back would be great

Matticus Monk wrote:I was effected drastically by the ROF nerf to scrambler pistols, and by the change in proficiency only effecting the bonus to shields now. I have every scrambler pistol skill to L5.
Now that I've gotten used to it I really feel that the ScP is still a fantastic weapon. Infact, I'd rather have the extra range and rounds in the clip than the previous ROF. And it's nice to see more sidearms on the field these days.
The only times I really miss my old ScP is when I'm trying to chew through the armor of a heavy or Gallente/Amarr suit stacked with Armor. In the past I'd just switch to my other ScP and keep firing... but now I just switch to the trusty SMG (but I may give the bolt pistol a spin). bolt pistols are fun, but stay away from the magsec, its kick gets no better per level
