So, I took three of the four heavies (have yet to try the Amarr heavy) to the field.
I was using the Minmatar with a complex kin cat on.
I sprinted my way to the objective since a minnie heavy with a complex kin cat on is faster than my assault, so no need for my LAV (COUGH COUGH CCP), and I ran out of stamina. Knowing how it was like pre 1.7, I expected for a pretty long downtime before I can sprint again.
Suddenly it's already backup. Dat stamina regen is awesome
I can practically sprint all day with that thing. A heavy. Sprinting all day. Without a single cardiac reg.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

And all of that on a militia suit, comparing to a proto assault.
I'm sorry, but if anyone says this suit sucks he needs to take his head out of his arse.

Disclaimer: Post HP nerfing my position may change. I never doubted it.
I am moving further and further from brick to regen on my suits. Though bricks proved superior, but I love my regen

I'm sorry, but if anyone says this suit sucks he needs to take his head out of his arse. I also bring a Caldari scout with me, that has nanohives and passive scanning that can beat practically anything. You will not get close to me, and I have all the ammo in the world. Well, I don't think it sucks, but I don't prefer the Minmatar heavies over the others. Its hitbox is bigger than a typical assault suit, and it doesn't get the weapon bonuses that the Assault suit would. What you should really do is run that militia heavy suit back-to-back with a true Minmatar assault suit. You'll get a hacking bonus and better "life" out of your weapons. The speed, though, is addictive. But then again, Amarr have high base stamina and regen; it's one of the racial attributes. Minmatar run faster, Amarr run longer. With that HMG of doom, you kill everything before the hitbox matters. Also, bonused rifles < HMG

A: HMG does not have 900dps, a Boundless is 792, MH-82 is 756, basic HMG is 720. None of these translate to 900 in any system of math.
2: HMG paper DPS is in no way, shape, or form applicable in the real world unless your target is another heavy politely standing still 4m in front of you. Two words: Dispersion and overheat. Cut the DPS by 1/3 to 3/4 depending on range at any range above 10m and you've got a truer idea of HMG DPS output.
Other than that, carry on. A: Bring prof in, and that's 900 DPS right there. HMG has the highest base DPS, hence damage modification improves it the most. (%)
2: HMG paper DPS is very close to the real world, considering how fast I shred things. I easily apply 550-600 DPS out at 10-15 meters, and all of that in a large cone of fire, which means less skill to apply around 1.75x the DPS of rifles.
