Wilson Ribeiro wrote:How does a religious people such as Amarr deals with cloning? It depend on the person.
The Amarrian royal families have religious beliefs about cloning, believe that their flesh it scared and duplication and being housed in cloned flesh is desecrating that flesh.
Some mortals take this to heart, especially Holders and minor noblemen. Some serfs do as well due to their own more rural system of beliefs and superstitions.
As for most it remains a core piece of medical, and now, military piece of technology.
Personally I was inclined to believe that cloning was a desecration of the flesh until my Palatinus and friend explained to me that each life is as a reaffirmation of my Faith, my purpose, and my very spirit to God.

That depends on ones interpretation of the Scriptures. I had resolved to not be allowed to enter God's promised land....but now I am not so sure.
Oh and MAC we were the first space faring empire you clueless sod.

Search the Sacred Flesh on EVElopedia. Its the basic Amarr take on cloning, its not abhorred, but it has a significance in our culture nonetheless.

So maybe in the end of the days we are aloud to enter Paradise in our mortal forms.?
Perhaps but we could still die before such a time if there were no clones/ clone units we had access to.
For the most part we are as mortal as the rest of humanity, we just get to cheat death on a regular basis. I suppose if we are dutiful, pious, and noble as all Amarr should be then we may well be granted entrance into Heaven.
God does love all of His children, this we know.

I didn't say we weren't, just saying if the science conflicted with the religion would we have pursued it? The two aren't mutually exclusive. Scientific genius and providence, a God explained in his divinity through Scientific reason.

You would be a fool assume this is the best I can manage. I graduated from one of Sarum Prime's many great Imperial Colleges with my degree's in Theological Discourse and Amarrian Cultural Studies, of the many things I have studied the root of Ammarish is one of my many fascinations.
However you must remember I only speak Amarrish, or Ammarad, my personal translation software must be in need of a debug.

Now you are grammar n-a-z-i, like really boyo, not cool. ROLE playing is fun, you just ruin whole idea now. btw no sarkasm was in it before.

Hynox Xitio wrote:Heres a better lore question, if clones respawn and keep their knowledge upon death, wouldn't it be better to non-lethally incapacitate and imprison them?
If possible yes. Though I imagine part of a clone soldiers basic training covers how to commit suicide upon capture, that or manually switching consciousness's.
