Tanks are fine with the exception of one nitros module that boosts their speed by 100%. Solo players shouldnt be able to kill a tank or even come close to it. Regardless of if their specced into prototype av or not. This is coming from a scout that avoids tanks like the plaque when playing on my main.
Use teamwork vs tanks or die, thats how it should be

And AV is AV... wait never mind AV is a great waste of isk and sp and is the death of the the heavy, which now has no place anywhere. If nobody uses AV at all, a tank will sit there on top of your base rather than being steadily pushed away from it at certain intervals. You do more than you think, its just alot of the old tankers are coming back out of the woodwork. In the last version of the game, tanks were so underpowered that they were insanely difficult to even consider playing. If your going to consider using av against a tank, do it in a smart way and take a small squad behind the tanks retreating path and wait. Wait for it to fall back to recharge and hammer the **** out of it. Dead tank. If you say it cant be done, Ive seen it done twice since Ive updated. Both times were successful.
This is assuming their not abusing the current exploit which might as well be a hack. 100% speed boost is kinda bs. Im a shield tanker on the tanking character though so I dont bother with it. I may play ruthless but I do play fair somewhat...

Especially when they all break the sound barrier as they go by. 3 or 4 max because otherwise youll have friendlies trying to kill tanks to bring their own in
