So now that the BPOs are removed from the player market and "aren't working the way that they were intended',I heard a rumor that CCP won't allow the trading or selling on the upcoming player market. Has this been confirmed by CCP?
I can honestly say that if this is the case,I'm pretty sure that when I get my PS4 around February,I might be done for good.I have a duplicate full set of Skinweaves and an Exile BPO that I would love to offload to any willing buyer,but if the remaining BPOs are not going to be for sale or trade,then this just seems like the final slap in the face that I'm willing to take from CCP.My face is red enough.

Seems likely. They're clearly making every effort to minimise the impact of BPOs on the game. Holding back on some of the measures to appease their customers isn't something they appreciate.

There is no dev post saying one way or another what they will to do. Some ideas were floated and locking BPO's to accounts was one. No word yet on what will actually happen. |

Pretty stupid of CCP then.For all of that,why not just take them out completely and give an ISK refund or something?
This seems like more proof that CCP really doesn't know what the hell they are doing. |

Actually,it is a big deal,not necessarily for me,I'm richer than $h!7,but for my corp,and people I my corp that need help in the ISK area.
And it's a big deal for those that aren't nearly as rich as I am that do need that extra cash. |

Standard grade, no skill Aurum suits cost $0.01 per suit. The same as a BPO cost about $10.00 and locks you into that one suit. Militia grade BPO modules are expensive but the ISK versions are super cheap.

The lack of a definitive Dev blog on the subject tells me that, either CCP has no idea what they are actually going to do with BPOs, or they know what they want to do and also know that we wouldn't like it. They most likely are having a few tough internal discussions about the "problem" of BPOs, probably with different groups advocating for different actions.
There might be a hardline faction, say, that is mad about all the 'QQ', and they might be saying things like "this is New Eden, so HTFU", and "but, what about the Economy?", and "we're giving them store credit, so why all the fuss?" And they might be counterbalanced by a moderate faction that is saying things like, "it might not be a great longterm strategy to become known as a company that will take cash for an asset, destroy the asset, and then refuse to give anything other than store credit back even with receipts." Or perhaps something as basic as, "we like our paychecks, and if you alienate a huge chunk of our dwindling player-base, then you risk alienating me from our beloved paychecks."
Or maybe they simply believe (most likely, correctly) that if they take it all away slowly, just one item at a time, it will hurt our feelings less and that way nobody gets sued for a bait-and-switch.

I know it's still in discussion but if they're allowed to roam on the open market in the future that would mean any future item removals involving a bpo variant the removals would be to zero out the stats on the bpo making it unusable at all as you can no longer prove who originally bought that bpo.
Dammit should have bought 2 of each.
Anyways feel free to continue to discuss on if they should or shouldn't I'll relay the concerns on both sides.
