So after heck a lot of clone termination i want to try nova knifes. Any guides? I have seen some guys being legandary with them. And also is it worth specing into AR currently or wait till Rail Rifle or CR droping in 1.7? |

Also, if you are gonna go nova knives then i suggest getting atleast the adv set as anything lower will not one hit anything but a scout.
My NK scout build...
G-1 scout
Highs
-Complex shields.
Lows -complex dampener -kincats everything else.
Equipment Remote explosives Or Flux Active scanner.
Weapons -Adv nova knives -Assault scrambler pistol
Once you get a passive scan range of about 25m, you wont need the scanner anymore and the RE's will help you defend a objective by yourself.
I die alot AND have fun... Who knew?

Also... don't be afraid to apply to "R 0 N 1 N", an almost all scout corporation run by Lightning xVx. (the best scout i know, goes 50/3 frequently)

Skill up Active Scanners as soon as you can, and put them onto your fit.
May I ask what Knives you're using?
The regular 'Nova Knives' aren't worth using, you'll have to get multiple slashes to take down a Med. I wouldn't bother trying until you get the ZN-28s, unless you already have them.
Have you got Level 5 Minmatar Scout? The damage bonus would really help.
I'm not a full time knifer (More of a Shotgun scout myself), but I do run them from on occasion, so if you need someone to help you with the actualy gameplay of them, then I'm probably not the best choice.
Join the 'Learning Coalition' and 'Scouts United' channels for help (Remove the ') a lot of the Scouts from R 0 N 1 N hang in there, just ask a question, and they will answer.
Ghost Kaiser is the Knifer of R 0 N 1 N as far as I know.
Good luck.

The charge up time on the standard knives is terrible and not worth fitting. To get the feel of the knives range take out stationary targets for a while (while they're hacking of manning a turret is best - so defend a far objective and wait for a customer )
Once your used to the range try taking out a moving target. use cover and when you see someone break away and try to flank the map come in behind them. You'll find it frustrating that you can't charge the knives and run so you may need to be patient. but once the cursor is red let them have it
after that there is a way to decrease the time of the chase. you need to sprint and jump at the same time to close the distance quicker and still charge the knives. It can be tricky so again takes practice.
Active scanners are good but:
1. you really need the quantum scanner, which can be a little hard to fit - it puts up a scan that lasts for 16 seconds, so you can close in on your target easier without loosing them. 2. when targets get the YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED, particularly when they think they're alone, they will turn around a lot and potentially seek you out first.
Its amazing how little peripheral vision a suit has, use it to your advantage. if you peek around cover to see whats coming its likely you'll pick them up on your cone of vision and they will be picked up on your radar (why I don't run a scanner any more) . and you can approach them at about 60-¦ from the front at close range and they still wont see you haha
I also have to recommend Remote Explosives. If multiple guy's are hacking its so much fun to throw one amongst them and watch them fly It also give you a good way to escape if your spotted - run around a corner and wait for them to follow you. Boom!
Hope this helps and happy hunting.
