so I set up 3 mines in the wrong place and I cant pick them up again dumb or what, then I spend an age trying to get this tank to follow me back to there location getting killed in the process, come back to life and lay another 3 mines next to the first 3, and the tank comes rolling towards me, happy days I lay in wait and watch as it speeds over them, brilliant or so I thought until absolutely nothing happened, I then proceed to throw my av grenades at the tank but unfortunately they didn't have a good enough range on them for me to hit from inside the bunker I was in. whats up with tht I mean surely 6 mines should of done a fair bit of damage then all it whould of took was my av grenades and possibly a shot from a spawn launcher. |

proximity mines don't do **** for damage, you would need atleast 20 or so mines to take out a tank( 4 squad members all throwing there mines ontop of eachother)

AV nades on the otherhand are like carrying mini anti vehicle nukes
The damage should have been swapped months ago |

yh but swap them and the av grenades would be crap, they aren't all tht easy to throw the range on them is pretty sucky they should lvl the damge on the mines and the av grenades, if they brought back the sticky bombs for busting tanks tht would be great, it wasn't the easiest task getting close to a tank, when theres loadsa infantry running around and the tank trying to blast the hell out of you, but it was a fun way to take them out. |

Place one or two Proxies with a bunch of REs next time. The Proxies going off will detonate the deadlier REs.
Also, if it really did "nothing" then sounds like a bad glitch or a stroke of bad luck, considering there is a decent damage bonus for the underbelly of all ground vehicles.

yh i should of just used the REs . ive seen the mines do damage to lavs didnt destroy it but it did well, but tht was the first tank ive actually managed to get to drive over them, i may try again later see if i get the same effect if it still don't work ill fit my RE instead. |

Yeah, lay them out in a line along the likely path of travel: Prox -> RE -> Prox -> RE -> RE -> Prox. Boom, 1500x3+750x3 = 6750 explosive damage. Anything but a super-buffered Gunnlogi will just pop instantly. |

I've killed HAVs with prox mines before, during uprising too.
You need to lay them out on their likely flee path and then encourage them to travel that way with some packed AV/Swarms.
Granted, when I go mining, I carry all three varieties and I've got a well established system for doing it (yay for patterns of 15 prox mines)

I have proto prox mines and if there is one bit of AV that needs lookign into then these are it. i can lay 16 at max i think it is yet half the time an LAV can speed tank it and a logi lav just waltz's through like they're thumb tacks on the road.
i proposed a bigger/faster detaection radius as well as increasing the blast damage by 50 hp per stage (std/adv/proto) to give them more kick. tanks arn't too bad if you can convince them to drive over them but almost every tank has scanners now so see the prox mines and just divert so perhaps reduce the scan profile as they move up too or at proto level introduce a stelth mine which do less damage but avoid vehicle scanners and require proto hand scanners to detect? |

I am sure they did do some serious damage, enough to make him flip both his reppers and armour hardeners, also worth mentioning he might have already been running 1 or 2 hardeners as he overran onto your mines.

Play a logi mix remote explosives with proximity mines on top it does more damage

i was close lol but yeah i have my proto logi with all 3 mines on and they still do pretty much jack s***. only place they rule is the bridge map where A is inbetween E and D but after the first 3 LAVs they just go under and round lol |

If my minefield is violated my enemy LAVs, I'll set up another along a high traffic area. I use mines both actively (as a trap I goad enemy vehicles towards) and passively (as a tool for area denial).
I am a big fan of explosives and would love to get a mining crew together for HAV/LAV murder.
Funny anecdote related to killing vehicles: Yesterday, I killed a HAV with my Toxin SMG (seriously, no bs).

I have to say, I thought using remotes on proxies only worked when friendly fire was on, which as we know at the moment is only PC. Friendly grenades and fluxes don't touch friendly remotes or proxies and to my knowledge neither did proxies blow up the remote. I know people that though they saw it before but it was just the proxies blowing up the LAV and then the LAV explosion set of the remotes.
I'll try to test it next time I'm playing. I have good success using them to block down most of the complex socket entrances from LAVs, but if I can now start using them as primers for remotes I'm going to be reaping alot more tears |

They are hands down the easiest weapon to use in the game. All you have to do is look in the general direction of a vehicle and the grenades do the aiming for you!

there not really hard to aim, just the range seems abit low on grenades in general, in this situation i was throwing through a window in a bunker it hit the floor well early in my opinion, |
