Why is it that a dropship will not "Die" until it hit's a horizontal surface? I do not get a chance to jump out of a Tank or an LAV when it is hit by swarms or AV, why do dropship occupants have until the ship hit's the ground or any other horizontal surface to jump out? if the thing is destroyed the occupants should die the same as any ground vehicle do and not have time to jump out, if they are goping to Bail it should be before the armor hit's 0. The only time anybody actually dies when you hit a dropship is when it is too low to jump or it lands on top of them and you only get an assist for the kill, ridiculous. I AV'd a dropship attacking me on top of a tower the other day and when I destroyed the ship the pilot had time to jump out and land on the tower and kill me when an LAV driver would have died with the vehicle.

Isn't it enough that you blow up my +million isk dropship with your easy-mode AV?
HTFU, if you want to kill players, fight infantry.

I suspect it's because when/if they were used for their intended purpose, and frequently carried full squads around, it would be far too easy to get 7 kills at once. That risk alone would probably stop anyone from using dropships for transport. Obviously, they aren't used much for that now, but I think that's due to a variety of other issues.
Remove RDVs from the game.

Maybe give them 2 or 3 seconds to bail out if the damage is just enough to down it....add a hidden amount of damage that could explode it instantly.....like overkill in ffx |

if a ds receives enough damage whilst in flight it will explode personally a com particle cannon with 2 ht linier flux stabaliser II will blow up a ds in mid flight if you hit their engines, unless you can inflict massive ammounts of damage youll just have to deal with the vehicle destruction and kill assist points.
Its gone from suck .....to blow

AV isn't easy mode. AR is easy mode.
The forge gun splash radius nerf has not diminished my ability to kill infantry with it. Thank you.

I've just started flying dropships myself, since they put stabilizers on the militia ones, and would be suffering along with everyone else but it is the difference between bailing before a ship goes down and having the opportunity to bail long after it has been destroyed that annoys me. I've shot down full dropships with turrets at low enough altitude to get kills on all occupants on 2 occasions, every other time I have shot 1 down the best I ever got was assists, but I only take down maybe 1 in 10 of the ships I shoot at, it is the good pilots who can nearly always avoid a 2nd hit and get out of the danger zone fast but if you fly close enough for someone to throw AV grenades at you it's your own fault. |
