I'm in a squad right now with another plasma cannon user and we were laughing about my 120.75m plasma cannon kill on a sniper in the red line. We got to discussing the longest plasma cannon kills that we've gotten/heard of and I was just curious to find what the longest plasma cannon kill was.
So I turn it over to the community to post their longest kill with the plasma cannon in hopes of finding out just how crazy this thing can get.
I'll update the longest shot. I'm starting with mine. Please be honest, I'm not going to bother with "presenting proof". Just a friendly thread that plasma cannon users can enjoy.
Distance to beat: 120.75m Justin Timberjake (my PLC alt). |

EDIT: You would have an INSANE kill distance with the Cannon, wouldn't you Beercase?
Haha I'd make it my wallpaper if I had that picture. I've never beat a forge gunner from that distance. |

Distance to beat: 199.8m Eversor Beercase 230m I think? Maybe 220, I'm not sure. This one guy had a thale and I think he didn't see me so I aim what is literally the most perfect shot, and got a headshot. Yeah that's right a 230m headshot kill. Though, it may have just been a glitch, as I'm sure that's not normally possible.
If this was a 2m kill I'd mention it in the OP just for costing the guy a Thale. Nicely done, sir. |

Dude, it was seriously a two minute battle. It was the best action I have personally got to witness in game. Strangely though, the Forge Gun never hit him; not even with splash. I call bullshit all the time on it, but he always just tells me "You suck! You wish you could do that!". Damn him and his Commando Suit.
The best I've had is maybe 1 minute against another PLC user and finally I won. I'm feeling ambitious now so I'll probably try to hunt forgers to create my own story like this. |

I hit a merc the other day while he was jumping off something. I was aiming at his friends but took the brunt of the round a fell down dead, my favorite PC kill because it was serendipitous.
Haha that is ridiculous, I never would've expected to be killed by a PLC in PC. Is it at all common or are you just one of those crazy guys haha?
I think my favorite kill was while I was pinned around a corner on the bottom floor of one of the pyramids (forgot the map, but only the pyramid is important). I was chased around it by a proto/AR from the other end of the pyramid and decided to accept my death and try to take one last shot from my corner with the PLC. I fired the shot as quickly as i turned the corner and a logi jeep (pre-murder taxi nerf) came speeding through the pyramid and intercepted my PLC shot, killing the driver and sending his jeep scooting out of the pyramid.
I think I've had the most fun in this game using this weapon haha. |
