Lock down a specific location to prevent enemies from taking it. Sure. But you should ALWAYS, NO EXCEPTIONS, be able to sneak up on them and blow them to bits. Your logic is flawed. You are countering a redline, not the sniper rifle. If he weren't in the redline, then you could use other methods. Also, you can storm the redline - you've got 20 seconds to get to them. Spawn in a militia suit (preferably BPO if you have one) and go to town. We shouldn't need to do that at all. This is something CCP failed, and what you are doing is patching it up, making it work somehow. |

You're tired of clearing out an objective from infantry only to have your accomplishments ended in a single shot by a sniper whose in a concealed location doing his job for his team to ensure that they don't lose an objective. And because of this, CCP is at fault for creating maps that allow a dynamic game for various styles of players? Yeah... I suggest learning the various sniper positions so you can check them if you or your squad member ever get hit by a sniper while hacking an objective. You're forgetting the part where the sniper is in a position that I can't reach. |

Edit: Counter snipe is no excuse. That's pretty much the definiton of OP, a weapon that can only be countered by itself. Sounds like you have problems with snipers I have a problem with bad design. |

There are plenty of ways to take out an enemy sniper. You just need to know the right spot, or the right technique. You don't have to sneak up on a sniper each and every time to kill him or her. You can counter snipe, drop an orbital, use a rail tank, a forge gun, or even an assault dropship / normal dropship. Or you can have a bunch of blues surround the console so you can hack. That tends to work well, and the sniper will only be able to get two or three by the time it's hacked - depending on how good the sniper is. Counter snipe ---> Countering a sniper with a sniper, definiton of OP Drop on orbital ---> Use 2500 WP on a temporary removal of the sniper Use a rail tank ---> Use dumb design to fix dumb design, great A forge gun ----> Ditto Dropship ---> :| |

And sniper rifles are OP because they have the range of sniper rifles? It was on domination... There is only one objective :\ |

They've stated that they want to enable 'long-range gameplay' which means snipers, rales, forge counter other snipers, rails, forge. You dislike something that is not a flaw, it is by design. You dislike their design. You dislike CCP. Why do you hate them so much? They just want you to love them. I'm fine with long range. I'm not fine with redline. It's against their risk vs reward. |

Actually, you won't see me... because I will be hiding somewhere and then be right behind you driving a plasma-based knife into your thick and heavy armor in one blow towards the backside when you think you are safe to hack. I camp objectives within my knives like a venus fly trap on an insect. Too bad I run proto scanners :3 |
