Don't you judge me. o...k... well this does lead to the next question of clearly one your immortal you dont really care about having kids I'm sure the clone body probably isn't designed for child bearing.
Possibly we may have to consider that even on a genetic level immortal mercenary clones are modified to loose erroneous organs for combat in order to have reinforced bodies.
We may also have to consider hour the mercenary mind reacts to being of infomorphic orgin. How does the mind cope with jumping from body to body, then turning its attentions to supporting a child?
Also combat merc clones are near on 7 feet tall....
Even so This One gave up the chance to have children in order to serve his people as one of God's avenging angels. |

Don't you judge me. Judged. What? If some chick who has never even seen an immortal before suddenly wants to show her appreciation for saving her planet from being glassed, who am I to say no? If anything, it would be rude to refuse the offer.
Yeah just hop in to that leisure clone and get ready to go.
I certainly do miss my mortal life on Mehkios somewhat. A normal life would have been a wonder thing to live. |

Might be a little tricky and expensive to get set up in a new permanent body, but if you got the money there's no way you're gonna be told no.
In theory, seems little reason for giving one's progeny an implant isn't impossible, but the ethical concerns do give one pause and I'm not too sure about the market for clone babies. Constantly dying aside, I imagine that there's little to differentiate the toll of an immortal mercenary parent would take compared to any other parent who is often away on business.
Granted, my perspective could mean I am mad as a hatter. Thing is when doing this you would need to spend 9 months in the custom clone to manage that bodies systems.
Jumping out of that body over and over could have massively traumatic effects on the child. |

Getting to enjoy the family life is something to fight for no matter how crazy the battles, labyrinthine the intrigue, or traumatizing the constant death.
That is a concept I think we can both agree on. |

Mortals call that 'Maternity Leave' Anyway, I believe in having children the proper way: By accident, after a night of drinking and exercise with a pair of athletic Gallentean women. EDIT@Medic 1879: Would our implants even work on kids? I suppose it's a comforting thought that any children we have could be forced to learn first-hand how the mortals live. Reminds me of an old story from Ancient Earth. They would have to be implanted with the technology at a later stage of their lives.
Also if im not mistaken at one point there were concerns about the first gen clones being unstable due to interfacing with sleeper tech/ sleeper infomorphs.... while the newer gen implants may protect us, what about a child of a clone solider? |

I wouldn't know, I still haven't gotten my armour off. And on that note, are we even designed to feel an emotion like love or something? I mean occasionally I'll see a bunch of clones checking out the only female on the War Barge, but I don't really think that counts.
That's like. Primal or something. That's what I was wondering im sure clone solders are optimised for combat thus any superfluous organs would be redundant in a combat clone and substitutes could well be added for great efficiency.
However custom clone bodies can have whatever organs you want in them, male mind could fill a female body, you could be whatever you wanted to be. |

Baby would be scary as **** when it grew up though. It came from a body that wasn't technically alive if it came from a clone... I'm struggling to understand what you mean. The body is not alive? How do you figure that. As soon as the consciousness is in the clone, that clone body is alive. |

As soon as the consciousness is in the clone, that clone body is alive. I was under the Impression that we are not infact in our bodies. That our consciousness was actually downloaded into a large number of super computers or into the communications networks. Sure the individual cells may be alive, but the "life" the body is experiencing is just it being remote controlled by a digital consciousness. That's my take on the subject at least. On a side note, it does raise a question: Were our individual clones alive before implants were applied? Or were they somehow grown while brain-dead? What do you mean by we.
Am am where ever my consciousness is. That is me, not some lifeless body held into some mechanical coffin, that allows me to be immortal. Where the mind is the body lives. |
