What is the deal with this stuff? I reversed over a forge gunner earlier today (didn't know he was there, was trying to escape a swarmer) and dragged him for fifty metres as he charged up his gun. The only reason I didn't drag him further than that is cos I was dead.
I don't mind being outflanked, but when he's in a position to crit me just because I drag him, instead of pushing him aside or (heaven forbid!) crush him, it makes me furious.
EDIT: not singling out forges; happens with everybody. Most people can't kill me in that position and stay there til I go over a bump and they get squashed. |

I know! My Charybdis and Limbus reverse over people all the time; once I went an entire match in reverse just for lulz. Got plenty of kills too.
But my Madrugar, which must weigh on the order of seventy tonnes? NOPE SORRY YOU CAN'T GO THAT FAST WITHOUT NITROUS SO YOU CAN'T SQUISH REDS |

I run people over all the time. You need high speed or to crush them against a wall. Most fun you can have in this game. |

Or ( ) you can land on them, that actually happened once, it's why you shouldn't stand on the slope below the tank.
That one's actually the most effective method if not the most efficient. |

It never works with the rear when I actually WANT it to. I like to run people over in my tank; Harpyja can attest to that, but the fact remains that at max reversing speed, my Madrugar should be smashing through soft terrain, let alone your pesky fatsuit. |

Are you joking, or just dense? He was behind me, my turret was facing in the other direction firing on a swarmer, I'm using a Scattered turret, AND HE WAS GLITHING INSIDE MY HULL. Have you never run over someone in a tank? Unless you're going obscenely fast, the victim clips into the hull until you hit a bump.
EDITed for clarity. |

I know you can crush infantry with a tank. I know you can run them over.
What puzzles me is why it's harder to do in a tank than a LAV, even when the red is in the middle of your bumper. Surely the raw mass of the tank would have some kind of effect? |

Surely the raw mass of the tank would have some kind of effect? i'd say theres a formula involving speed, LAVs getting up to speed a lot quicker than tanks, i've pushed along infantry plenty of times but once you reach a certain speed they go under and get crushed.
Yeah, that was my guess. It's difficult to reach that speed going backwards :( |
