Nor has any other issue with our standing in the alliance prior to this been brought into question.

A truly casual gamer, like a casual corp, is supposed to be able to take a little internal and external razzing...hell Knight razzes me all the time, sometimes its even serious if he doesn't agree with me. I'm an adult, I can handle it.

Here is the only communication from the alliance to KnightSolitare that I was made aware of. As I said no officer was directly contacted. It is from Horner Langely.

Your only options at this point are to stop treating our alliance, and our members, like they are beneath you. Or, you will risk the high probability of your entire corp being removed from the alliance as leverage for kicking you out of their corporation (Which I understand wont be such a problem cconsidering your recent employment history).

Consider these words carefully, though they may seem like an empty threat, I consider them a fair warning and slap on the wrist. If you value your position in our alliance that we've worked so hard for, then you will mind your words on the forums.

First off, I've been in positions of leadership my whole life both in the virtual world and in the real world. The way this message reads and was sent, to me, screams disrespect. Upon reading how some online person who is not part of BHD tried to censor one of our members I took offense. Upon reading his post in this thread I see my initial impression of this Langly individual was spot on. Want to test a man's character, give him power.......

Moving on. This message was shared with me after Knight decided to leave the corp on his own. When I read this and he told me that he left I asked him to come back. The stuff in those posts was child's play, a little fun banter at best and a little poking at some of the harsh realities of life in dust for the Defiance alliance at worst.

I can't talk, our corp has won only one round of a PC battle and not a whole PC battle so not tossing stones, just telling the reality and to be honest that reality never did bother me. I was more than happy to be in the alliance and happy to send our members to help out in alliance battles if and when they could do so.

EDIT: Knight, nice response to the guy about how we are a casual clan that joined a casual alliance. Post #27 is spot on in that regard.

I think it's appropriate for me to step up and say this has been handled poorly on our part. On behalf of us all I apologize for the way this was handled and can only say we are striving to do better. Arguments aside about who said what or did what I recognize a number of failings on our part. My sincerest apologizes for this whole unfortunate business ...

I guess we're all just GÇö what's it called? GÇö oh, yes, collateral damage. Frankly, if you really cared about the DEFIANCE alliance, you would not have kicked one of your three main corps from it. The actions taken by DL's leadership tells me that, when it comes to putting the metal to the pedal, an alliance member can be sacrificed if it means saving face for certain leaders within DEFIANCE. Dark Legion's leadership just shot itself in the stomach, and all it's going to do is leave you weaker in the end. BHD, on the other hand, will continue. We always do. The same cannot be said for all of the corps that we have encountered over our years in gaming. And, now, back to what really counts: real life obligations like work, paying taxes, raising families and contributing to the communities in which we live.

Speaking at this time only for myself, I accept the apology you offer, Ares. And, as the poster above me truthfully states, it takes an adult to apologize in a public manner, and you did that. It means a lot to me as a member, officer and director in BHD, and I'm sure it will affect others in BHD in a similar manner. It must also be said that, in the wee hours of this morning (Tuesday), I ran with a mixed squad of BHD and rank-and-file Dark Legion members. We had a great time together, too, and led the leaderboards in many of the after-game reports.
