afaik CCP turned off rendering after a certain distance, it's not our settings... but I hope I'm wrong bc I would like to see people across the map like we used to.

Rendering distance was reduced to help ease up on the lag from what I heard and as an extra bonus made snipers have difficulty sniping in the redline without fear of retaliation. |

people tend to stop rendering after about 450m with a zoomed in sniper and it is possible to hit non rendered targets by aiming at their triangles on battlefeild overlay however these dont always sync up properly with models at ultra long distance so dont be surprised if hits dont register on a moving target thats not drawn. i have run into some instances lately where people under 400m are not being rendered for periods of time and even more often then that people walking into structure terain ( staircases, ramps) will apear to clip through it when veiwed from afar. |

Yes. I track a slow heavy when he simply disappears and reappears a few meters away. And it's hard to countersnipe people without knowing if he's behind a building or just invisible. |

skill in swarms. its funny watching the bad ass tankers in there turbo tanks outrunning missiles back to there red line where most will then stay or recall then go afk. tankers think they are god and better than everyone else till they get a scratch on there precious tank.

I think CCP had said they were working on animation on enemies at a distance. Now im not sure if it will have anything to do with this case but its supposed to come out in 1.4 i believe. |
