Like, for real.
I can't remember a single time where vehicles got buffed. Ever since I started playing way back in the closed beta, vehicles have only seen nerf, nerf, nerf.
- Massive missile nerf
- Damage mod/skills stacking fixed
- Speed/acceleration switched between armor/shield HAVs
- PG nerf
- Removal of proficiency skills
- Specific turret skill bonuses nerfed
- AV got free 10% damage bonus
- Shield/armor upgrades nerfed
- Enforcers
And now, what about the talk about the armor rep "fix"? I personally hope it's just a fix on the wording, and not a reduction of its rep amount. But looking at vehicle history, chances are it's going to be a.... nerf.
I think closed beta vehicles will be balanced against AV if they are brought into the current situation. Everyone cried "Nerf!" back then because nobody cared to skill into AV and everyone was using malitia swarms. AR fenbois wanted their ARs to be balanced against vehicles.
Now we have a situation where vehicles are too weak and AV is too strong (except for LLAVs, but those feel like real proto vehicles anyways). CCP buffed AV when there was limited use and nerfed vehicles, but now that there's some form of proto AV in almost every match, it is obvious that AV has been over-buffed while vehicles have been over-nerfed.
Time to remove the crutches from AV and give them to vehicles (1.5 can't come soon enough). Give vehicles their PG back most importantly. Buff shield boosters, shield hardeners, and passive shield recharge. Make Caldari vehicles accelerate noticeably faster than Gallente vehicles. Also fix the damn rendering! |

Yeah, I was using proto swarms and I wouldn't even bother with shield tanks last build. By the time I even did enough DMG to faze a shield tank they would run behind a hill. |

Nerfs are easier to work with than buffs. You could either buff all weapons to the Core Flaylock's level, or reduce the Core Flaylock to the other gun's level. The latter is much easier, since you need to balance one gun against all the other (balanced?) guns, instead of balancing all guns to one, then again to each other. |

Core flay lock is the only good one now. The other ones has it's radius so bad. Can barely kill with it. Mainly because of the hit box is messed up. Smg ftw

It's easier to nerf a weapon to match with it's competition rather than to buff the 13 other weapons. |
