The Harlem Strafe was so last summer!
Use range charts for reference:
1) Meet your AR partner at 50m (the big circle on your minimap). Here his average weapon efficiency (splitting shield/armor) is about 75% max damage minus what misses from dispersion. Your scrambler rifle will do about 100% damage (120% to shields).
2) Do a couple of fake strafe steps to get him to dance too!
3) Once he's stepping side2side, start to back up about 5m. His damage is now at about 45% of max while yours is about 95%.
4) Charge up your shot and keep him dancing. If he wastes ammo at you, it's your gain.
5) If he starts running toward you, use that time to let off your charged shot. He has to choose now between closing distance to get his damage up, increasing your ability to track and charge-shot him, or continuing to dance while you can do nearly 2x the damage to him. If he want's to run & strafe you you can back up still as well making his speed at closing distance
6) If you feel safe, you can shuffle back forward to <50m with a charged shot to add that extra damage efficiency. |

Just be careful because, depending on their sharpshooter skill level, they may still be able to be pretty accurate and get something close to 100-150 dps especially if they have damage mods. |

The only time this doesn't work is if they know the trick to keep their dispersion and kick at 0 while firing. |

aSCR pretty much has the same range as SCR. And I still don't get why the TAR exists in the gallente plasma line of ARs with the range it has. Put it in the sniper line of weapons, and then make a pulse-sniping laser rifle and I'll be happy.
One skill tree has so much range and damage flexibility it isn't funny.
Also, do this right when the deployable shields come out so that all of the QQ from snipers can be blunted. |

Works on AScR too. Just harder to notice due to muzzle flash. |
