I'm not talking about a commando, or a sentinel, just the standard frame here (so two high slots at advanced)
So of course the obvious choice for a heavy is to use an HMG or a Forge gun (I have fittings for both and they're quite effective), but I want to expand a bit with my heavy loadouts and try some different strategies.
Here are some of the weapons I've tried:
Scrambler Rifle
-The ability to take opponents out at long range with two complex damage mods makes this weapon a one shot kill in most circumstances. I use the low slots for armor repair as I tend to keep to my cover in order to regenerate
Shotgun
-I know what you're thinking, why use a shotgun on a heavy? Well to my suprise, if you stick two complex sprint mods on this thing you run at 6.7 sprint. Add a couple shield energizers and your shields are fast too. That's about as fast as a caldari with some armor. Going 14/10, I think that the reason I was able to get so many kills was the surprise factor of a heavy closing in on you so fast. As long as I kept sprinting after I fired a shot to keep my speed it worked rather nicely.
Laser Rifle
-I'm immensely dissatisfied with the results here. Even with two complex damage mods, it was hard to get a good line of sight with the opponents. I think maybe I need to use forge tactics with this weapon instead of Scrambler Rifle tactics.

Light weapons? How about this?
Strap on:
-Carthum Scrambler Pistol
-TY-5 Breach Scrambler Pistol
and add:
-Shield Energizer x2
-Flux Grenades
-KinCat
-Cardiac Regulator
Finally, name the fitting:
-"Gunslinger" |

Gallente Federation

I see a few Heavy Snipers, so I guess it works.
Me, I can't even snipe on a medium suit, just feels wrong |

Thats 2 side arms, not even light weapons.
Besides, stick a duvolle, or tac rifle on a heavy or stick a sniper rifle on there and **** people off!
