Independent Corporation Network (ICN)
The independent corps in New Eden has some stiff competition. We face huge conglomerations of some of the finest corporations in the universe. We have some limited options available to us though.
1.We can allow ourselves to be absorbed into these larger entities and lose our individuality and independence. 2. We can fight and die alone, always overwhelmed by their numbers, talent, and resources. 3.We can learn to work together and help each other succeed.
What I am proposing is not an alliance. No one will be in charge and each corporation has complete independence. There will not be any requirements other than your corporation is an independent corporation without any ties to an alliance. You can run your corporation any way you see fit.
SE7N has tried the alliance route and did not like the restrictions or regulations it brought with it. However it did bring a pool of allied Mercenaries that we could draw from when we were short people for our battles and squads. Now that we are independent we no longer have that valuable resource.
I have started a chat channel (ICN-1) to help independent corporations network together, fill squads, and prepare for battles. Your members will benefit from this service and so will your corporation. Basic business practices are to create contacts and network with other businesses to improve your own success. This channel is for organized groups that need to fill holes in their teams or to organize and make joint efforts in a campaign. Why should we allow the mega corporations and alliances dominate the field?
Keep in mind though that it is not an alliance and this is not a cease fire agreement. We can network together and help each other out but that doesnGÇÖt mean we wonGÇÖt be facing each other in battle on the next contract. After all, ItGÇÖs just business.
Join the chat channel (ICN-1) today.

Joined, I like the idea, and it would be beneficial for a corp like the one I am attempting to create to be able to mingle with others. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1160517 Good luck, and happy hunting. |

To be honest this is just the kind of association we have been looking into. We are looking mostly to do PC for the experience and to get some trigger time against well organized teams. (It's the only way to get better yourself)
Problem is we just cannot get enough players on at once to do PC well, since our player base is multi-regional. So we would like to have some folks to come to fill out the ranks for support.
I will be following up on this soon. Looking forward to it. |

I've joined the channel and I am the CEO of this corporation. If possible I need proto heavies, logis, and assaults this Monday for a PC battle against new eden's most wanted. We could beat their corporation themselves but they bring in ringers to help then so other than me and 2 other members, we can't take them on our own. So if any of you guys know anyone that would like to help, I'd appreciate it if you mailed me on dust about it. |

Joined as well. Our corp is small at the minute, but we're constantly expanding, and are willing to fill squads if anyone needs us for a battle. We may also have some planetary conquest coming up, so we will be looking for some squads to help out too.
See you on the battlefield. |

So if any of you guys know anyone that would like to help, I'd appreciate it if you mailed me on dust about it. Just letting you guys know, It's a PFC match, and in Planet Fight Club, having non-alliance ringers is pretty much against the rules. A declared alliance coming in to help however would be acceptable, which is what New Eden's Most Wanted does, their "ringers" are member of the Top Men alliance that often plays matches together, using non-alliance ringers however, like you're wanting to do in this case, would only be accepted if it were a normal PC match, as anyone can have ringers in the un-controlled realm of PC, but in Planet Fight Club, there are certain rules that you have to abide by, and to make sure you guys understand, here is a quote of the rule you would be breaking taken straight from the person who is heading this PFC planet:
CHICAGOCUBS4EVER wrote:
first off... RULES
1) You have to be able to field a team of your corporation. this means 16 players in corp X fighting 16 players in corp Y * as mentioned having a couple non-corp members on occasion due to availability will be acceptable, as long as this is not the norm*
1a) evidence to the contrary is necessary for enforcement. QQ on the forums is not acceptable 'proof' take a pic - upload it - then post with the link and explanation
1b) the term 'corporation' is synonymous with 'alliance' if corp x has a district and is part of alliance y, members of y. playing on behalf of corp x is allowed

Serimos, I'm trying to get clarification for you in the War Room. But according to what Cubs just wrote, PFC is meant to field 16 from the corp that actually holds the district. ON OCCASION, you can bring in 1-4 alliance members to help fill. However, if this happens as a "norm," then you might be removed from PFC.
I immeditately thought of Top Men. So, you might want to make sure all the rules are clearly stated. |

kiar, 1b is excruciatingly clear. The term corporation is synonymous with alliance if a corp is a member of an alliance. CUBS fully agrees with us on this. i.e. "You have to be able to field a team of your alliance" is a proper application of rule 1, with addendum 1b in place. |

I completely agree with 1-4 ringers that aren't in your alliance if you don't have enough members, but what the CEO of Knights of Ender seemed to be asking for were multiple units for 3 different roles, which obviously would = 6+ members, clearly violating even the exception to bearcubs rule.
We're not trying to lash back at you guys or anything like that, I always loved S.E.V.E.N as a corp and still do, but what the CEO of Knights of Ender is proposing is simply not allowed. |

Sorry, back on topic. This channel has done everything, so far. We discuss strategy; we discuss fittings; we help each other in PC battles (some for free and others have tried to charge).
It's really a channel like described in the OP. We want Independents to control their own destiny but have the resources available that alliances have. |

You know I plan on running my corporation fairly tight on security. Limited allies, no alliances, draw the line.
My question is how truly independent is this "network"? I mean it is one thing to learn of and draw deals with other independent corporations, but it's another to just plug one into the other and have them all kind of tethered.
So does this channel bring independent corporations strength or does it undermine the meaning of independent?
Food for thought. |

Bojo There isn't any structure to the network. The users make it into what they want it to be. If you are looking for some guys to game with then check us out at the ICN-1 channel. We wont try to make you blue up with anyone or attack anyone. Come and go as you please. If you are worried about security in your corp don't use the network to fill your battle roster but you can still use it to get your guys in others battles. Its networking nothing more. politics free. tether free. |
