Hey all, at the moment it's a bit annoying trying to give EVE players your current location when fighting on a district. At the moment you have to type out the full planet name, and district in chat while you are on the warbarge or in battle. This is difficult and takes too long for players who use the controller instead of a keyboard, and sometimes a simple spelling mistake can mess everything up.
In EVE Online players can link their location by dragging the system name down into the chat window. Because you can't drag and drop your current location in Dust why can't we enter a simple command into chat to link our location?
For instance you could type in the command "/planet-district" into chat and it could automatically link your location into chat window for EVE players who want to provide orbitals, and Dust players who want to join your battle.
Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, I typed this from my phone and can't proof read at the moment. |

I agree. But maybe a shorter command, so you can also input it very quick if you only have a controller. Maybe /pd or something like that.
It would also be nice when we could talk to the militia or something. At the moment it's almost impossible to get orbital support in FW if you don't happen to have contact to an EVE FW Corp. This is especially important with the planned changes to FW, when the warbarge orbitals will be removed. |

+1 to the general concept.
All data being transmitted is already openly available this just makes it easier for console users to share it. As far as spies are concerned they'll be from an organized group, generally speaking, and will transmit the data anyway (often via alternate comms) so this doesn't aid them much. Besides having fleet support for a ground Op is about more than having one ship in place to provide OBs.
