Yes, it is easy to use in certain situations. Unlike other hitscan weapons that can work in any situation. The mass driver is not effective at an extreme distance (40 - 100 m, unless a a severe height advantage), when the enemy is above you, or in extreme close quarters (0 - 5 m). The AR, on the other hand, can shoot up just as good as it shoots down. It can shoot in a straight line so aiming isn't a issue either. |

Mass driver can still do damage to enemies behind cover where as ARs and SCRs can't. Also it takes one game to realize in most situations aiming it at the head will lead to the shell landing at the enemies feet, and it only takes 1-2 shots to dial in the aim on any target. |

HMG is pretty beast since range changes. Even more so now that turn and walk speed were increased to the level of any other gun for heavy weapons in 1.3. |

Mass Drivers unequivocally do less damage over time than AR, because their raw DPS is lower and because they are normally only hitting armor because a flux grenade took out most of a players shields. Most of people's problem is because of flux grenades.
If there was a nerf to flux grenades I'd be okay with it would only be a nerf to flux grenades...like -1 grenade for fluxes, or a bit of a fitting increase. |

Oh yeah I forgot I don't use a flux and most suits even proto I usually get in 3 rounds of md is there much of a difference in std and proto? If it doesn't get nerfed and we get a respec ill skill into it |

My biggest problem with the mass driver is the horrible hit detection in this game. People strafe in and out of cover firing one round each time, and my shots don't do any damage to them. |
