Need suggestions for making the best cheapest fit ever. I'm using an assault Scrambler Rifle and that alone costs ~17k ISK. This one is the cheapest one cause no STD. I guess I'll have to forgo my core flaylock....I use a basic Caldari suit. Do you guys really use militia modules I hate them. I'm guessing anything below 30k ISK is enough to make a profit.

If you want a cheap STD (none assault) SR fit then try militia amarr medium frame with SR and 2 complex damage mods + whatever else you can fit
It's a 10k fit with a very powerful weapon and it can 1 shot most mid to low tier suits if you land a charge shot |

I find using a ADV suit with a standard weapon (i tend to use the exile) with 2 complex shield extenders and damage module lows tend to be used for shield reg and a enhanced cpu mod if i remember correct it is in the 25k mark but cant remember, is a good way to make a cheap but good suit, set ups like that tend to be able to take out proto suits solo if you catch them out or if they are fit badly and will have that bit more survivability over everyone running standard suits simply because it can fit better modules.
Sorry to say this is based off of minmatar assault suit, but the same principle could possibly work on caldari version but i am not sure. |

Dren assault
MD
toxin smg
militia shield extender bpo x2
militia armor plate bpo x2
compact nanohive
fuse grenade
3k isk total , assist ***** and hate magnet with ability to kill in CQC with nice flux toss and follow up MD shots
This is not the best.. it's just a fun cheap one that makes some isk and pisses people off at same time

I will be doing the Standard version of this when the Collector's Edition is shipped - all BPO and totally free as well. |

Don't know about you but the cheaper fit and double effectiveness seems worth the 700 ISK or so to me.
Even in a bad payout match you'd have to die about 300 times to lose money. |

"making a profit" and "cheapest ever" are not the same. If you're dropping 17k on ASCR, then you won't be using the cheapest mods ever, at some point you're going to want to put in a little more to get the most out of your 17k investment. If you're half decent anything under 30k will consistently make a profit assuming you're half decent, although it won't necessarily make the most profit. But if you're going to be using a 17k weapon, there's not much you can do about that. Keeping it under 30k is a manageable goal and won't gimp you. Lets talk some basic rules.
-don't compromise too much on survivability -you probably don't want to give up your sidearm -don't leave empty slots to save isk (ie using militia mods and running out of fittings) -damage mods and uplinks are fittings intensive, probably don't use them. -more fittings skills = cheaper suit, many mods have identiical performance between militia and basic, where the militia costs less but use less fittings
first is suit choice. The choice is between militia caldari medium (free w/ caldari race), and Assault C-1. if you're skilled at 3 or higher in caldari assault, the C-1 becomes a better choice. The absolute best choice are the BPOs for caldari assault. There are a bunch of these as caldari is the preferred race for the assault BPOs (raven, dren, dragonfly). The militia doesn't lose you too much, basically you lose the bonuses, 4 pg, and one low slot (not the end of the world).
Ideal suit for me w/ your skillset would be something like
Assault C-1 BPO Adv Assault Scrambler rifle Toxin SMG BPO (or basic flaylock since you're skilled in that, no bpo i think however) Basic or enhanced shield extenders Basic or enhanced shield regulator Another regulator OR 1 basic armor repairer OR ferroscale/reactive/whatever plate, however you like to run it (i don't run caldari) Basic locus/av nades Compact nanohiv (extra cost made up for by reduced CPU, plus reps you if you have no repper)
Then, once you're happy with the fit, go back and replace basic mods with militia until you've maxed out the fittings.
If you want to go even cheaper and don't have a BPO, use a militia suit (free if you're caldari). This has one less lowslot but the same CPU, so you can convert more gear to militia (basic extenders, basic regulators, basic repper are prime candidates and maybe sidearm or grenades). |

STD basic or Assault amarr with assault scrambler pistol and scrambler rifle with 2 complex shields or (1 complex n 1 enhanced) a basic armor rep. Then a basic nano hive. |

You sir are a genius and a gentleman <3
That raven BPO looks sweet but I'm unwilling to give CCP anymore money unless more content is released. I started as Amarr so the starter suits are a bit similar to the Caldari ones. But I'm liking Caldari more so I'll stick with the STD orr militia ones. I could try the cheap variant of the ADV flaylock....Thanks for this great advice.
