They aren't unusuable. I still see people on the killfeed being killed by them, and I still get kills with them. Now, however, more skill is required (I was a user of these by the way, not a victim).

I was playing with a flaylock user on my team last night, he was doing great, mainly using it as a mob weapon, or kill shots.
I think, If you think its ruined, maybe the reality is that in its previous state it ruined your gungame. |

You're funny.
I still see people getting kills with them. Even people getting quite a few kills with them.
Basically, any weapon that doesn't wtfpwn with 2 shots is worthless. I love how the QQers are making posts complaining about QQ. |

I use a breach flaylock, and do fine with it. Given, the breach deals more damage than the prototype for some reason. |

If the PS4 was out i could prove it to you
i went 28/6 1st place top score both teams with and AR and the flaylock. (Put that in your pipe and smoke it b 4 u accuse me of being bad at gungame)
that was the game that proved it ask n e one in my squad.

The use of the AR completely invalidates your point.
Though, the SMG is more powerful, and always has been, than the Flaylock. That much is true. I'm expecting the AR nerf brigade to come for it too considering that it wasn't ok for the Flayock to be used as a primary, but somehow it's ok for the SMG. Oh yeah, that's because most of the AR users also use the SMG. lol

I use the GN-20 FL to finish off those whom I gravely wounded with my shotty. It also does great with careful aim on medium to long range targets like snipers.
But I hear ya. I miss fluxing a tank and then flaylocking it in the ass until it went boom.
Why fight it? I replaced the shotty/flay with Gek & knives and I've never been happier. Running as an assault scout has been hilarious. |

It was a matter of time, they have been slowly ninja nerfd a few times already but no one really noticed because no one was using them.
Honestly i think they couldve left the AoE of the Flays the same but decrease the damage and then look at their performance. Just decreasing the damage alone wouldve been enough to make people get pissed off and blow 600k SP in another side arm.
iirc CCP said they were going to take things slowly when changing things, instead of smashing everything with the nerfhammer like they have been doing (excluding the TAC).
PS:
To those saying HTFU learn to aim. Majority of people using the Flays only have 3 shots. If i was worried about aiming id use a Scramble Pistol. I never subbed it for a Primary though, i use them to finish people off after i hit them with SR's |

You might want to read up on the new FL Operations skill. Its kind of a big deal. |

To be honest, there is ZERO reason why anyone should use the flaylocks over the other 2 now. It underperforms in every single aspect. If you use proto flaylocks, you clearly haven't tried the other sidearms at proto level. |
