Recently I've come across a frustrating issue.
I've been in a heated 1 on 1 fight. My opponent's shield and armor bars go empty. 5 or 6 shots later I die. The kill screen comes up and shows that my opponent has 0 shields and 0 armor, yet he is alive and running away from me.
So I ask again. How many times do you have to shoot a dead man before he dies? |

players need to be reduced to negative hp before they die. You can still technically run around with 0 armor.
The eve equivalent would be that dropsuits have 1 point of 'hull hp'. |

I've been on the other side of this. I think this is what happens when exact damage is done to the specific HP. |

the thing is thats his armor and shields he still has life left which only takes 1 damage to kill |

Or it could be <0.5 but >0 since damage has a decimal in it. |

Don't listen to these nubs.....they didn't Learn 2 Read  What you experienced is Server Lag between recognizing yourself or your opponent's position/condition. This is not to be confused with Framerate Drop or Instance Lag. Your Client registers the HP Bars as 0/0 b/c you fired into your opponent enoughh for them to die, but the Server relays the Data from both Clients to determine Server Result. His Bullets "Technically" hit you before he died, hence why you fired off 5-6 Hit Markers instead of a Killshot.
What they all assumed & explained was a Situational Occurence, be it Exact Damage or Regen Result (Assuming Armor Rep Stacking or Shield Delay kicking in @ opportune moment, or both). You are welcome  |

Yesterday I managed to get out of a fight with 0 shields and 0 armor. Seems like if you are left with exactly 0 armor you still have to take at least one point more of damage to actually die. |

your just noticing this now this has happened to me countless of times you have to wait for them the regen some hp then shoot them again then they will die its pretty annoying. |

Thank you for the compliment  I suppose as a Tanker @ the height of the Global & Per Match Leaderboard, even after dropping in activity due to boredom & disappointment in the "Progress" of this Title (Topped off @ Rank 18) and selecting the 2nd most Nerfed Specialization in the Game (Dropships take 1st by a landslide), and a former IMP, being unnoticed in a hulking box of what is seemingly Free WP must make me a Rank on par with or above a Kage. Maybe I'm the Sannin of 6 Paths, but you may never find out b/c after all.....I'm a Ninja :P
