So I'm finally comin back to dust after my 2 month long cooldown period. There is so much about this game that makes me hate video games...anyway
I'm just tryin to get a feeling for the current state of tanks and all im seeing on forums is a bunch of whiny HAV noobs and AV guys with their heads so far up their asses its hard to get a reasonable view of what is currently unbalanced and if tanks have gotten any kinds of buffs( obv not)
Anyone who isnt a ****** wanna kindly fill me in since ive been away? I really appreciate your help, trolls **** you and all that
couple things im interested in -
1 - is the radial menu fixed for M+KB? 2 - are AV nades still handheld nukes? 3 - are swarms still invisible if fired from.....well, are they still invisible sometimes? 4 - tanks still never got anything from that recent patch that was supposed to add a bunch of cool stuff, correct? 5 - im not even going to ask, obv we still have to fight proto AV with STD tanks. this ones easy lol 6 - lastly, have the mechanics for the drunken bolas pilots changed at all?
Again, I really appreciate any and all help here. Hope everyone's summers have been good. |

Sup Lurch! I lost quite a bit of tanks to ya back in closed beta. To answer your questions:
1. No idea 2. Yes, however vehicles / AV are getting a complete rework in 1.5 3. Yes. 4. Right. 5. Yep. 6. The AI has been reworked so that they aren't ramming dropships left and right, however there are still cases of it happening. The forums have grown much quieter on the issue, so I can only assume it's worked for the better. RDV's also deploy faster, so yea. |

1 - should have been improved, DS3's been fixed mostly. 2 - unfourtunately 3 - Yup, only noticeable as being shot by or third party observer. First person observations never seem to say such. 4 - nope nothing new, 1.5 maybe. 5 - I pray to the video game god they fix the whole damn mess of modules and make them proper std, adv, proto instead of all standard for vehicles. 6. Bolas pilots are no longer hilarious. |

Try not to call in vehicles in the small compounds. (box that is 8 feet tall and usually acts as a defensive spawn area) |

The radial menu is much better with the mouse than it was at the start of Uprising, but still enough of a pain to use that I feel compelled to equip move passive than active modules. As infantry, thinking you've selected something and being wrong is no big deal...with modules, activating the one next to the one you meant to can get you killed. I doubt it's going to improve much...I'm still hoping for module activation via number keys.
RDVs may be better, but I've still seen them hit things (dropships, each other), drag vehicles, and lately I've seen a number of them never set down the vehicle...either they hover in place indefinitely, or keep circling an area. I don't know how those have resolved themselves, I've always just given up and done something else after a minute or so. |

Especially if your Tin can gets one shotted from a Proto Forge off a tower. |
