Just returned to Dust from a 2 month break and it seems rather quiet on the local chat and my Corp chat.
Anyway how much has Dust improved over 2 months? |

No.. not dead yet.. just another of those " WTF!!" ideas from CCP.. or "someone"..Only people that "types" something shows in the Local chat.. so it feels that the game is half empty all the time. |

Chat channels don't load an entire roster anymore, only the last few people to say something. Dust isn't dead, numbers have dropped a bit because it's the worse time of year for the gaming industry- summer. Doomsdayers on here will tell you otherwise but wait until fall to get an accurate reading on active players. |

To improve performance if channels get to big the name list will only populate with people who say somthing :-) Dust514 player base is very stable at the moment. Any talk of death is wishfull denial by the people trying to be cool kids |

meh i've been happy with the last two patches.
pc now runs alot smoother in 1.3, the flaylock balance patch seems really solid, the caldari suits changes were good as well.
all around 1.2 and 1.3 has greatly improved the game for me, and I'm looking forward to 1.4 now. |

The max active players Dust has is around 5000 and it has been that way for some time. That essentially says to me it's the same core of people, with a few leavers and joiners every week. It's not going consistently down like it used to, so I supposed there's progress, of a sort. |

No not everyone will move over to PS4 but a hell of a lot will. I like Dust but when PS4 comes out with Multiplayer games such as BF4 why would I want to play an inferior FPS game like Dust.
Many others will think the same.
Also CCP just don't seem capable of delivering any better anytime soon. When Planetside 2 releases on PS4 Dust will have a lot to do to match it. |

For all fairness I play a number of other games that are still quite alive with mp activity and good times that have far less active #'s and attention than DUST.
So, you know take that for what it is worth, and if you enjoy playing DUST at all keep your "CCP get to work" bat swinging. |

Keep in mind that some of those games have smaller lobbies. For example I still play killzone 3. those lobbies are 6 v 6. Dust is supposed to be 16 vs 16 but yes I agree. If you like this crap game by all means, keep playing it. Who are we to tell someone what they should or should not play. I have friends that still play dust, so I will once in a blue moon log on and play just to hang with them for a bit, otherwise I wont touch this game as I believe it is going in the wrong direction. |

For what it's worth, MOST of those "better" games that have been teased for the next gen systems aren't scheduled for release until at least Spring next year.
Only a small handful of games will actually be launch titles. |

I compromised with Spinner.. I would play Dust on the PS3 with him but it would be the last PS3 game I would play. I then invited him over to play BF3 on my PC... he was in love lol. |

yeah BF really shines on PC even with the new PS4 coming out, it will always be better on PC. At least the PS4 has the 32 vs 32 man lobbies now like the PC had. I cant wait to see how many servers I get banned from again. I even got banned from a no kick server just because I took the admins dog tags and I was playing on my alt Twilight Sparkle.
