This was OUR match Havok VS DIOS wasn't it? Did you get this from Watts or someone from Havok? Or (God I hope this isn't the case.) did they do this to you guys as well?
Havok had a match with them and only faced 1/2 AE and 1/2 IE; not a single DIOS in the match. We accepted their explanation that they had another battle at the same time but why not alliance members or half your corp in each match and fill the other half with ringers? Also why the overlapping timers? Seems like bad planning.
For the record though they did show up for the second battle with only one or two ringers. Was a close match but they ended up winning by 30% MCC armor. In hindsight, we were too careful not too rush into engagements since we only had the 100 clones from the pack. (We got cloned out in the N-F ringer match despite having a pretty good MCC lead; just couldn't beat kujo and friends with 100 clones. Lol) Also whoever the F*** that TP speed demon who rang for them was (can't remember the name.) he really caught us off guard by hacking both the inner city objectives by the time we reached the gate; then he helped keep our 5 man squad from getting a foothold in the city by ninja killing any uplinks we got down. When we finally kicked them out of the outside letters completely and began to turn the city in our favor they had too much of an MCC lead to catch up.
In the end all excuses and explanations aside they had the better plan and won the day; good on them and we hope to see them again soon, hopefully with a different ending. ;P

We haven't no showed a fight. We did ring one, and it cost us a pretty high price to do so.
Splitting up ringers was, I suppose, an option, but we were trying to get four teams to war barge, and final prep came a little more last minute than expected. Also, we don't really like doing outside ringers, so I'd rather use them in as few fights as possible. Them just taking the one match took a lot of additional juggling off our hands.
We knew there were going to be some overlapping timers, but there was one that should've been different. We also pulled a bad hand there. Timers actually have a lot of luck involved, as 0310 and 0350 are not overlapping timers, but 0310 and 0320 are. (Heck, 0250 and 0310 are also overlapping timers, so different timers don't assure you anything.) We drew a really nasty hand, of fights at 0300, 0300, 0310, and 0320.
Note, for those that care, Spero Escrow Services did an excellent job handling the transaction and getting the outcome advertised in the transaction. If anyone's looking for ringing services, I do recommend. (Slight plug.) |

Hmm I think that was the day we got attacked 10 times in around 4 hours, four of them within 20 minutes. Overlapping definitely wasn't an issue, you're a genius :)
PS: we get less respect than you cakeman, theirs like 5 active threads trashtalking our alliance right now. |
