It appears that there is a great amount of lawlessness in the Molden Heath region. A lot of groups are unable to defend themselves against the Great Mercenary Powers. The label of Independent Corporation has been created by the Great Mercenary Powers in an effort to preserve the viability of their services.
Currently this label has no real meaning. It is used by the leaders of the Powers to designated undesirable targets and by the Less Powerful to... cry.
This thread is intended to put an end to this. I will provide a definition of an "Independent Corporation(Indie)". This definition will be fairly dynamic. As the PC environment changes and powers shift, the definition will necessarily change.
The Indie label is mainly a tool of protection and preservation. Any corp that is to be labeled "Indie" must consider itself as such and publicly seek said title. This thread will provide an area to do so. This title will provide some degree of protection from the Powers. This will be discussed and will require cooperation.
Main benefit for Indie corps = Protection Main benefit for Powerful = Diversity and Preservation of the Game
To be considered an indie corp you must: Control 3 districts or less. It will be impossible to gain cooperation of the Powers without this rule. The only benefit they gain from the indie label is the diversity it provides. It isn't acceptable for a Corp to make a power play in the region and then cry for protection. This provides an easily verifiable benchmark, increased diversity, and allows the Indie corp enough districts to play and be actively involved in PC. Controlling more than 3 districts will result in loss of indie status until districts again fall to 3 or below.
Indie corps cannot use more than 50% ringers on an attack OR a defense that isn't their last district. The purpose of the indie label is to provide protection to the indie corp. If they are able to do so with mercenary support, it is clear that they do not need the protection of the label. Alliance (It is still unclear how to treat 'Indie Alliances") ringers are acceptable in all situations. This rule tries to find a balance between getting more people involved in PC and providing opportunities for mercenaries. If a Indie Corp is found to be in violation of this rule (END OF GAME PICTURES ONLY) it loses it's indie status for no less than 2 weeks.
To register your Corp as an Indie please reply with: Corporation name In-Game Contact info Districts Owned Alliance Info and Contact Info 1 picture showing more than 8 players of your corp in a PC match. |

We all basically just agreed that the label "indie" was inherently stupid and needed replacement. So what's this for? |

Change the name, change the tiers, color/colour. We still need to have a location where all this information is available. I will reformat this as the community sees fit, but without visibility and accountability, none of it matters and mistakes happen.
Tiered systems are inherently more difficult to implement. If you really feel it is necessary, I will replace all instances of "indie" with "Low Tier" in this thread. Is there anything here that would be unacceptable for qualification for a "Low tier" corp? |
