The biotic modules are extremely costly and I find no reason gameplay or lore wise why this is so, with the prototype kinetic cate having a larger pg output then most proto weapons in the game.
The biotic modules are mostly used by light frames the most cpu/pg deprived units on the battlefield yet the modules that benefit us the most has horrific requirements that are so expensive fitting wise they stop us from equipping our gear.
The active scanners are just as disturbing with the difference of being outrageously heavy on the cpu side something the scout dose not have in droves so fitting both of them on the same suit is extreamly taxing.
I'll add more as I look into it such as the exact cpu pg output of the pro versions of : precision enhances, profile dampingers , range enhancements, cardiac regulators, kinetic catilizers, active scanners, drop uplinks and other scout based equipment.

Yes indeed. The complex KinCat specifically is outrageously PG hungry. Even with Dropsuit Core Skills, Electronics and Engineering maxed out, fitting more than 4 or 5 modules at complex/proto level on the proto scout suit is a stretch, if one of them is a complex KinCat. |

I think it's one of the many forms of balancing fails. It's a resource ***** because it needs to be one for everyone. What I don't understand is why not use Bonuses and Penalties to encourage/discourage people from using certain modules given their class.
For example: (hypothetical) Kin Cats: 10cpu/ 10pg Increase Spring speed by 10%
When equiped by: Scouts - will be able to fit it as is and get a small +3% bonus to it's 'efficacy'. Assaults - will get a 10% fitting penalty requiring now 11cpu/pg to fit and give +1% bonus to 'efficacy'. Logi - will get a 15% fitting penalty requiring now 11.5cpu/pg to fit and give no bonus. Heavy - Will get a 20% fitting penalty requiring 12cpu/pg and will -3% penalty to 'efficacy' thereby getting only 7% sprint speed increase.
And so on with other modules benefiting/penalizing different classes who are/aren't encouraged to use them. Simple eh? |

I must admit, this idea would be an interesting change of paste.

Not to mention you give up HP to use one. |

No, you don't give up HP to use one, you make a conscious decision to use one instead of something that would give you an HP boost. Even if it were cost effective to do both you would just stack more kin cats anyway.
So sure make them cheaper, but increase the stacking penalty. |

I think a simple solution here is giving scouts a 50% reduction to fitting costs on biotics and all modules pertaining to scanning. |

This would allow a scout to be able to run all prototype everything without the need to upgrade their passive skills. |
