SO NOW YOU TELL US? Where is the INGAME mention of a future RESPEC option?! This is like the original omission of the LOG OUT feature.....Let's make everyone quit the game in order to switch characters...
There are several major flaws with the way this game is set up.
First off, there is no good way to take all the various weapons for a test run to determine which way I want to go. My solution to this problem: Create a sort of practice realm where the basic weapon and armor types can be explored.
Second, The conspicuous non-mention of the impending respec option IN GAME. How many characters have I started to play with various builds (see first flaw), and consequently deleted to try something else.....what a waste of time and effort.
Third, Why the mystery with the game mechanics!?? Why is Meta level and the like not explained INGAME? At first look, the weapons, for example, the sniper rifle, have basically the same damage and range. Granted there are a couple of options, but why should I pump a million skill points to max out a skill just to get a weapon with seemingly the same damage and range? And the bonuses 3% or 5%? That makes seemingly so little difference.....what is 3% of cpu usage 175? 3 pts of cpu? Or 3% of scope sway reduction? Is there reduced scope sway with the sniper rifle you buy at level 5 as opposed to level 1? None of this is explained.
These are all the things that should be explained INGAME. The lack of information is frustrating. And so far, relying on the guesswork of fellow forum contributors is not a valid solution to the problem.
I get so frustrated with the non-transparency of the game mechanics that I have to quit playing for long periods. Am I the only one that finds these issues to be frustrating? Does anyone have actual knowledge and an educated answer regarding the omission of Vital information regarding game mechanics? Game mechanics that would help a person choose the character build without having to waste time and effort? And since this omission of helpful accurate information may cause people to start a character using skill points randomly, Why was RESPEC not built into the game to begin with? |

I'm surprised nobody is asking the same questions. Perhaps someone with actual knowledge will explain. INGAME information would limit the need to interact with people who have nothing helpful to offer. |

- Meta is the quality of item(the larger the value, the better).
- If you gonna buy AUR you will have access to items that require no-skill to use them.
- Sniper Rifles differs from each other - just cheak market description of item, Tactical have fast rate of fire, Charged have big afla.
- Skill bonus may seems to be small, but there are difference between someone that have it and someone who does not have it.
- 3% less CPU can mean big differences if you are trying to fit max dmg mods.
- Reduction to SR sway give a lot on lvl5 compared to lvl1.
If you have questions you can ask them here: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=899 or join some training-corp like DUST University. |

The reason you don't see other people asking questions is that all the vets are just tired or CCP not answering any of them. They said they'd put in ranges for us to see... that totally happened. We've just been beaten down and ignored for a year straight. That's why. |
