So, the devs had mentioned that they wanted to try to find a way to put OBs in the hands of Eve players. Neato, but what happens when they initiate TiDi (time dilation) if the system gets crowded? |

That brings up the fundamental problem with integrating a real time FPS with a turn based sim.
Everything is fine until the sim slows down and loses synch with the FPS. |

Most DUST514 focused Alliances would be lucky to be able to make a "fleet" of 20 ships.
If/When 0.0 opens up for PC then that might be an issue, if there happens to be a fight going on in the same system as someone requesting an OB.
I think that this is way down the line.

At low levels it might not be bad, but once the delay stretched out long enough EVE pilots would be reacting a minute or more behind DUST which would be enough to turn the interaction into random bombardments tat old be as likely to kill friendlies as the enemy.
It wouldn't take long for a 2x dilation to de-synch it over a minute, and then your OB is coming down on the objective you just capped.
How much action does it take to trigger that? |

I'd say 3 rifters, only Subdreddit or Goonfeet could muster 20. |
