DUST 514 really needs something for the new players to do other than get pub-stomped. Also, the Eve dust link is woefully under developed and needs expansion.
I think I have an idea that can resolve both issues.
Give DUST players a way to participate in Sansha incursions.
Incursions made Eve high-sec social. It got people to organize to take on PvE content, people got used to fleeting up, gearing up for a team effort, and and playing together. I think giving DUST players Sansha ground missions would encourage the same things on the DUST 514 side, as well as provide activity for new players to skill up and build up their wallet without being endlessly pub-stomped.
Additionally, it could provide a good test bed for Eve-DUST integration.
One possible scenario: Eve players could accept missions to place war barges in orbit over Sansha occupied planets. The Eve players would guard the war barges from Sansha NPCs and can provide orbital support. DUST can spawn in the warbarges as a team and try to complete objectives on the ground to repel the invasion (or perhaps Eve and DUST players co-operate to maximize the farm from the scenario ).
Multiple incursion fleets and DUST squads can participate in the liberation of a planet and DUST squads on the ground can complete must like Eve fleets in space do for incursion objectives.
The mechanism for liberating a planet can be a prototype for the mechanism for integrating planetary conquest into faction warfare. And once planetary conquest is working in faction warfare, onto 0.0 sovereignty wars.
Another possible scenario: Eve incursion fleet needs to attack a Sansha outpost, but instead of having to DPS the structure down, must dock a warbarge to the structure and protect the warbarge from waves of Sansha ships until a DUST squad completes objectives inside the outpost.
The mechanism for securing this outpost can be a prototype for DUST participation in capital and station fights in fleet battles.
I think this would be a good direction to take because it will bring much needed content to DUST as well as providing a non-binding way to bring the two games together with going all-in. |

Sansha's Nation is a rogue state that occupies the Stain region. It was founded over a hundred years ago by Sansha Kuvakei, who wished to create a utopian society based around the exploitation of brainwashed slave labor and a small, cybernetically enhanced elite. Nation, as it is called by its citizens, was destroyed by a CONCORD-led coalition of the empires in YC 37, leaving only remnants behind. However, the survivors managed to band together and reemerged in YC105, gradually restoring its power and growing until launching a series of invasions into empire space in YC112. |

I love the idea. It get's EVE and DUST working on the same goal at the same time: fight off the NPCs on the ground and in the air. |

Thnx. I was avoiding this thread cuz I had no clue what Sansha was and therefore thought I wouldn't relate to this topic. (I gotta get into the lore of this game)
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST . |

Also, with the Incursion mechanics of system/constellation control, the types of matches Dust players would engage in could change as the tug-of-war in space rages.
When the Incursion is going well for the Sansha (when the Incursion bar is high), Dust mercs would have to assault Sansha defensive positions in order to push them out of a city. Mercs would then have to push the Sansha back to the Sansha MCC, board it, and hack open the slave pens to free the people who were taken before the mercs could get to the district.
When the Incursion is going well for the Eve pilots (when the incursion bar is low), Dust mercs would be mostly playing tower defense against waves of super powerful brainwashed slaves. |

This is a really fantastic idea. I'm sure CCP will find a reason or 2 on why they can't make this a priority in the near future, but it would be a FANTASTIC concept platform to release the next expansion on.
With that said, based on how Reddit is eating this idea up, and how here on the forums it seems to be the same, we can probably help CCP with ideas to further the process as we always have when CCP shows their support and talks about implementing something.
Yeah this concept would probably have dust players waiting around more than what they are used to while fleets form on eve, but with that said, think of how much the community will bond. I can only imagine that a dedicated community will rise for this, thus creating a EVE-Dust player driven link that has a strong content backbone backbone.
I beg CCP to start working on this. |

I support this type of PvE scenario. I'd also really like to see some form if sleeper PvE in w-space sleeper stations. Some kind of raid for sleeper tech.
But to burst a few bubbles here. Some dev on IRC said "PvE is a long says off".
So there's that... |

I like the idea of fighting rogue drones as well. I can not wait for that mode to be implemented.
The other day I was watching some EVE lore, and I realized there are still regular soldiers. I could imagine being sent against a another empires militia. Killing tons of mortals. |
