I've lost countless of millions of ISK from invisible forge gunners and swarmers. This has to end. If those damn forge gunners/swarmers are not rendered for me, then I shouldn't be rendered to them!!
I'm tired of getting forged/swarmed to find a spot I think I'm safe in, only to get hit again. Wherever I think is safe, it's not! |

Although they aren't necessarily rendered I have hit and killed many a merc using a sniper rifle from a long way off. Just because they aren't rendered doesn't mean their V doesn't show up if you look around on the battle field. You can see them yet you choose not to be aware of your surroundings. Try looking a bit and you will find them, this will take some practice. As for fix your rendering, I say leave the polish off till there is some additional content to make the polish worth while. Keep mercenaries interested in the grind by giving them more interesting places to grind and the game will move forward. |

I'm sorry, but I doubt you have ever been shot at by OP AV while trying to find the "V". Takes about four proto AV shots to take a skilled tank out. First shot: you find cover. Second shot: just before you get into cover. Third shot: oops, OP AV can still see you. Fourth shot: Boom! |

Almost snook up on ya good then Harpyja..but yeah forge guns, I don't mind, either way, it's time to get cover and access wether its a put away tank, or attempt to flank moment. Invisi swarms are the worse for me, mainly the wyriwashwally swarmers, thats a big hit to be caught off guard by. |

Ok so there is a sniper forge gunner on a tower or building or just down the street and they are killing you, big deal, I fire faster than a forge gunner and if I am able to I spot and kill or mark them to be killed first. If I'm not lucky I get shot. The only difference me to you, is that you are in a tank and I am on foot. Who lasts longer when there is a forge gunners sniping? A foot soldier or a tank? If you guessed Tank you would be correct and if you think that you are the only one to have played this game long enough to get shot by a forge gunner then you are definitely not experienced enough to be saying that his forge gun is OP or that it needs a nerf. HTFU sir and stop the nerf hammers from giving everyone pillows to fight with. I have been shot by snipers, forge gunners and every other weapon which makes me fully aware of what ranges are for all the weapons including rail tanks and blaster tanks as well as plasma guns, forge guns and sniper rifles which is why I offered the helpful suggestion. I have played this game since it first hit beta and do not make a suggestion that the render range is fine lightly. I remember the issues that were seen when playing closed and open beta with weapon ranges and also recall the improvements in area such as LAG reduction that occurred when the render range was reduced. Find the V shoot the tip of the V for a head shot. This works on all maps and it is your best way to identify targets. If you can't find the V and still get shot get used to it. Snipers move and shoot or they get counter sniped. You are entitled to your opinion but IMO cover is your best weapon vs a sniper. Dust environments are not destructible unlike BF3. The cover will protect you unless there is another sniper. If it costs too much to lose a tank maybe consider not bringing out the tank if 1/2 the other team has forge guns.
I'm sorry if this makes me sound like a Jerk but I keep seeing tanks being spammed, maybe you could consider using an AR or forge gun yourself sometime. |

What are you smoking? I never asked to nerf forge guns. Tanks need to be balanced against AV, and shield tanks need to be buffed no matter what.
Also, I should've said this before, but get out you infantry scrub. Snipers barely render, while tanks render from across the map, no matter what.
You are so hilarious. You think that I have time to search the battlefield while a forge gunner shoots at me? I can't even see where his shots are coming from when he is not rendered. I am dead in six seconds if it's a damage modded proto assault forge with max skills.
To let me answer your question, a sniper will live longer than a tank. True, we take more damage, but we light up on everyone's map. While you remain hidden until another sniper is lucky enough to look at you or if you are just too close to the action.
Again, GTFO infantry scrub. |
