Basic shield extenders? Basic Kin Cats? lolBasic Damage Mods? Basic Ferroscale Plates? LOLbasic Reactive Plates? Basic shield regulators?
Point is, i'm wondering if there is anyone one out there who chooses to use these modules despite the fact their effects are borderline unnoticeable. |

I use dual basic kinetic cats on my light suit, only because I cant use the better ones. |

best gear on the market. you cant go proto everything without having slots left over to fill and most times a basic will just fit in.

Basic Shield Extenders on the Sever MD logi alt. It's that or ditching the needle, rep tool, and/or nano hives for extra cpu/grid. Which is of course unacceptable. |

Well, BPOs are okay if you want cheaper fits, in my opinion.
But instead of Regulators and Rechargers, you should be equipping complex extenders and an energizer (if you want maximum survivability). |

I just never seen the purpose in running around with ALL out BPO suit. If ya like camping and shooting from high ground sure. More power to you. Against a team that you know there are decent players on the other side why would you wanna run crap gear? This game is all about choices. If you CHOOSE to run basic gear don't complain when ya getting destroyed. The people that use Proto unlocked the skills and have saved up millions of ISK to use that. |

Lately I've been running a SEVER logi BPO with basic shield extender BPO, Toxin Assault BPO, Locus BPO, Nanite BPO, Hive BPO and then either Drop BPO or Rep BPO, all of which I've bought over the last few months with AUR here and there.
Last two are two x basic armour extenders.
1,800 isk per suit.
I've been having awesome fun with this fit soloing in skirmish and ambush. Drop in and latch onto a squad and just roll with it. Not the best player in the world but when something is so cheap and your taking down proto guys and costing them big it's a lot of fun. :D |

So you like the feeling of you killing that proto guy after he's killed 5 guys. How common is that for you? Once out of every 10 deaths? If a person dies once or twice he can still make money the game he just played. Most guys who use Proto don't sit there and die over 5 times every single game. Specially most of them are KDR whores and camp and hide anyway. As for ones like me that are always in the battle even if we have skill we don't die as much as you are thinking. I make ISK EASILY and I am sitting over 1k proto fittings for my shotgun AND AR. |

I use a basic shield extender on a couple of my proto logi fittings I could fit a complex in the final slot but I would have to give up one of my proto equipment's which isn't happening so an extra basic is better than an empty slot. |

Ya but that's a completely diff situation. I am talking about running ALL BPO,Militia,Basic. I think doing that is ********. If you need ISK hey do what ya gotta do. Get on your hustle and make ISK. If you got the ISK and skills unlocked why not use it? |

Basic Ferroscales are so much better than Advanced because they still are bugged to decrease the armor penalty, yet cost a ton less pg/cpu.
Proto Ferroscale just takes up too much pg/cpu (I'd rather use that to upgrade a basic armor mod to advanced, which would give me more armor anyways)
Another item people probably don't use: Basic shield recharger (for vehicles) |

i use Basic shield extenders, with a basic suit on my tank toon, the tanks taking agess to fully spec out so not wasting sp on "suit" skills, and i still get a plus kdr when not in tank..... with the flaylock
i use some lolBasic Damage Mods also with the milita SL and milita forge, i usually get lav's but sometimes get to finish off a tank, or if tank driver not on the ball, i ruin his day solo with the forge |

I use basic shield extenders because the extra CPU/PG cost for the Enhanced version isn't worth it for me for the tiny extra bit of shields I get. I am still a month away from unlocking my complex shield extenders. Need to fill out my core fitting skills a bit first before I unlock complex anything. I run a scout suit and they are severely CPU/PG starved. |

Actually they require less PG/CPU when compared to the milita versions
So you may use your milita fit, but if you upgrade to basic you may save enough CPU/PG to put on a better weapon or add more tank for a small price
Im in vehicle very heavy and not into infantry, i now have a few skills to unlock basic stuff because 12k SP is nothing tbh and it allows me to run around like a scrub and carry what i need to |

I run Enhanced everything on my Heavy. I have to now, with the Heavys being like bullet sponges.
If I'm messing about with a weapon I normally through that on a LV 5 Assult Suit and then fill up the other slots with as many Enhaced Mods as I can. Basic stuff is for people who have only being playing for a week or so.

I use basic kin cats and endurance regs on my scout, because of the low CPU on the scout. You'll have to run at least one basic module to get a valid fitting on the advanced scout. |

No self-respecting HAV pilot would use rechargers of any level. I doubt LAVs nor Derpships would do the same considering there are better modules to use. I can at least say that with utmost confidence for HAVs, Enfarcers, LAVs and LLAVs. |

Neither really, but that's not to say that modules could use some rebalancing. The relationship between (basic, enhanced, complex) damage modifiers and shield extenders is unbalanced by favoring shield extenders.
I was just curious if people felt that basic modules were still useful to them, even if they have like 15 mil SP into all their core skills and upgrades. |
