Look pal, I see you're Unholy Legion of Darkstar. They got some really great tankers in there. I imagine you saw them and looked up and said "Thats so cool, I want to do that!". So you spent a few mil in tanks and think you're "In like flynn" now.
You clearly are not one of them.

Throwing grenades has an inherent Cooldown. Also, even Packed Lai Dai doing full damage to armor only(rare) have an upper limit on damage(Roughly 6321.6). This is applied over the span of 4 seconds. In that time, what you're saying is that the person has not only managed to get close to you(Your situational awareness failed), but that when the damage did start coming in you did not have the presence of mind to activate reps(Staying cool under fire)?
Sounds like a personal problem to me. At least you lived. Odds are good if you activated reps you'd be able to GTFO of dodge. I've seen plenty of tanks eat my Lai Dai, then Wrykomi Swarms and still run away. That's because the Mardrugars reps are OP.
Additionally, you said "Hold your own". Are you seriously driving solo with no friends? Big mistake. Real tankers don't make that mistake.
TLDR; Fit a rep and have the presense of mind to use it, and bring friends noob.
