I just went through their rule set and wow these guys are idiots.
I really can not believe CCP let these people run the tourney.
Basically half the rules do not even pertain to dust.
And the other half says that UF can ban anyone because they do not like what you say.
They also seem to be a company that likes to be paid off to have people allowed in their tourney. Says it right in the rules we can kick you to let in a team of our choosing.
Come on CCP do you not have any balls. Or at least can you not get a better company to run this tourney. |

Being in an in-game channel with anyone not on your team is breaking the rules. Attacking a district belonging to a competitor is griefing and breaking the rules.
Anything but hugs, kisses, and congratulations for everyone around you is grounds for disqualification. |

What? that is just stupid by that wording you can only be in a channel with the 20 allowed in each team, does that mean the chosen 20 will have to leave their corp because potentially there could be corp mates on who aren't in the 20. The 20 will also have to leave any other chat channels.
The bit about attacking districts well that wont stop people using alt corps or such as distractions but basically it means any corps taking part in both PC and this tournament are immune to being attacked by anyone else in the tournament so basically baring a corps not partaking in the tournament PC will come to a halt. |

Quote:Rule Set 5: Discouragements While in matches
A: The following is a list of EXPECTED etiquette during match play as well as interaction between team members and adversaries on all websites, online lobbies and forums associated with DUST 514.
B: There will absolutely be NO threats, remarks, insinuations, posts, messages, images or quotes involving the use of racial, religious or disrespectful sexual slurs on ANY platform of UF. Any record or instance of this kind will be dealt with swiftly from a player disqualification from the tournament to the elimination of the entire team, depending on the severity of the incident and the number of team members involved. The admins of UF will deliberate the penalty. You will not be able to appeal the verdict.
C: UF discourages the use of taunts and dancing in game against other UF teams. If your team feels the need to do this, do it in another tournament. While engaged in combat against another UF team, there is to be NO dancing on dead bodies such as "Tea Bagging". This tourney is based on and built upon a foundation of respect. We expect all to adhere to the ideals whilst playing in our house. Multiple infractions of this will result in a penalty handed down by the admin in an appropriate fashion they see fit.
D: Urgent Fury also asks that messaging through the PSN or any other outside way of communicating be prohibited {Skype, Facebook, cell phone, etc.} to teammates OR to opponents not be practiced by your team. There is much more reward in "winning with honor and losing with dignity" in this community than there is in cheating.
E: Urgent Fury discourages any profane or racist trash talk towards your opponents. Please be aware that even though you are talking to your own teammates in-game, there is a possibility that someone from the other team can hear you. Treat others as you expect to be treated.
F: Any type of threat will be taken seriously and may result in removal from the event.
Ha! ..."etiquette" in Dust 514.... I wonder if this is going to be the first and ONLY tournament from Dust 514. |

I'm interested in how much isk is going to be lost in a single round considering each round is a best of 3 matches, the finals being best of 7.
These look like blanket rules but i think potentially having 7 matches for the final is going a bit over the top :/

These rules are apparently enforced. Essentially anything that is not Team Voice Comms could easily be construed at "cheating". More pointing out how obnoxiously appalling the rules are both in spirit of New Eden and applicability to DUST 514. |
