Wait closed beta tourney had awesome rewards?

250 million ISK to the corp - fair enough, this was kind of big back then I would guess, although from what I heard when we finally got it they placed it in our EVE side wallet, and we didn't get it back after the next reset.

Black Ops LAV BPO - yes, this was maybe the biggest reward, except that we did not get a BO BPO, but a standard tiered LAV BPO instead.

50 copies of unique Officer Assault suits, ARs, SMGs and Snipers - fair enough, a good reward. We got the 50 unique suits, SMGs and Snipers. The Snipers were barely better than the Prototype though and did almost 100 less damage than the Thale's. The ARs were the Balac's, so not really unique.

I don't think there were any other rewards.

Is that where the Balacs SMG came from? I remember seeing Alldin running one once.

Yeah, the three weapons were Balac's. The SMG was slightly worse than the Cala's I think, but they were still okay.

Black ops LAV BPO by itself is better than the booster or the 40 crap tanks.

The 50x of all dfiferent officer weapons and officer suits is ungodly, i've never gotten 50 balac's total in my merc career.

i'd rather see 70m isk go to each player than 250m isk go to the corp wallet, so at least they did ONE thing right.

The 50 Officer snipers were crap doing almost 100 less damage than the Thale's. Back then we also got batches of 10 Officer weapons at a time as salvage, so 50 back then were less than what it would be today.

lol start a match and have all the team start singing "dip dip potato chip" and see if you all get booted instantly.

Even if damage is lower, you can't deny that it's great to show it off on the killfeed and get constant mails sent to you.

The naming a planet is actually a big deal..

Oh and the whole "naming a planet" thing...there is no way CCP will allow you to name it whatever you want. They will have to review and "approve" the name. I imagine even names like "Planet of the Imperfect" as an example would be refused. Instead they would basically give you a list of names that are similar to what Eve already has and then tell you to either make something like those names or pick from there list.

No, the winner will get final say in it. They are not going to force you to name it from a list, but i'm sure they will filter it and make sure it is not obscene

Not sure if you guys are aware, but some players in this game aren't in the biggest alliances nor as rich as some of you.
