A few important questions: Dev response requested!
1) When submitting a roster, should we include the dust name? And if not how are we sure that the players on the opposing team are in fact on the roster? 2) The 20 player roster will be a barrier for all corps. It is near impossible to find the same 16 (even with 4 alternates) to field in a tourney that spans over 5 weeks. Please consider increasing this roster to 30, even if you only pay 20 rewards out to the team. We would rather have fewer rewards and more flexibility. 3) If a team wins the first two matches on Monday and Wednesday are they required to show up to the match on Friday? Friday nights will be extremely difficult to field full teams especially with the 20 man roster limit

Tournament lasts over a month, You make the matches on weekdays (Mon, wed, fri) (for pacific coast players at 5:30pm) and the roster is limited to only 20 players. The rewards are also no where near worth a month of having to schedule around.
Why not allow players to choose when to have their matches as long as they have them before a certain deadline?
I don't understand the logic in the logistics of this tournament at all. |

These are a joke list of rules right?
3rd party comms are considered cheating
All decisions are final with no need to state a reason
Profanity ON YOUR OWN COMMS is grounds for disqualification
as is anything construed as a "victory dance"
Ineligible if forum etiquette does not meet unlisted standards
Just to highlight a few. |

I don't feel the need to bend over backwards to show up for matches over a month or two for a pile of isk. It isn't even that big a pile. The tanks interested me for all of 30 seconds before I remembered that this type of tank is an old aurm consumable tank and not a BPO.
Yeah I think I'll pass. |

I was curious to know if each match pays out isk to the winners like PC or like the old corp battles.
Do the losers make any money? With a total win payout of only 75 mil isk I definetly hope the matches pay out. Cause these battles get expensive!
I assume each player would get the 75 million not the corp?
Good luck to all who enter! |

HOWEEEEVER, the rules are sooo stupid. your giving DUST the rules of a AAA game...which its not, just a mediocre F2P 4500 average player base game. the private beta tournament rewards were way better. i wont be jumping through hoops for ISK i can transfer from EVE, Tanks that are worse than my maddy, and boosters i can buy myself. as for naming a planet...only the real nerdy dusters will want that. wow one little star named after you in an entire solar system. if there was ANY BPO's it would make this tournament ok. don't you think they would save the best BPO's for "awesome huge out of this world" tournaments like this? |

LOL the rewards are the same for EU and NA. So what is the point of a EU v NA match after all its over, bragging rights? We all know that NA corps are better then the EU corps anyway.
So SI or WTF will get to rename a planet by virtue of living in a region with no competition? Way to hold people hands. Told everyone this tourney was going to be lame and here it is. |

Read the rule again. At the bottom of blog.
The winning team of each region will be given the rare opportunity to rename a single planet in the EVE Universe. These names will be subject to approval from CCP.
In addition, each member of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winning teams will be given the following rewards after the conclusion of the tournament. The rewards are same for both NA and EU regions. |

You want to know the best part. It is fairly easy to read these rules as "participating or encouraging the participation in PC during the tourney" as grounds for disqualification. |

Honestly, I don't see how a majority of these rules can even be enforced. Pair this up with no appeals process and a subjective e-honor ruleset and you have a recipe for disaster. |

20 person limit? No. That needs to change. NOW. if your CEO is EVE based you can't play. UrgentFury and CCP have the right to refuse players because they don't like them? Seriously? |

I was able to get some clarification about the CEO stuff. A CEO or designated leader is fine so you don't have to go dumping Eve-CEO's just to participate in the tournament. |

If any team is able to get through this tourney without at least 2 of their roster members taking a break from Dust they should be the winners by default.

The rules are... interesting. Not bad necessarily I guess. The rewards were rather underwhelming though - nothing I want there.
I don't care about EVE, and could care less what a planet there gets named. Dust players can't interact with the EVE universe at all. Not like we could visit the named planet later and build a condo, mine for special items, or socialize (in Dust mind you, I would imagine assuming dual-accounts is a good idea for Dust-tourneys).
If I named a web domain, it would be faster, cheaper, and more significant to me as a Dust player.... there'd be more to do at a placeholder web page than there would be at a planet in EVE for a Dustie. Largely because you can't travel or interact with things in Dust.
The ISK is nice, but there's not that much to spend ISK on as it is. It mostly just piles up. Those particular HAVs were only interesting when they had whacked out fitting stats. 7-day booster? Meh.
That's just me though I guess. |

Sheesh. Don't participate if the rules are so crippling and the timetable is inflexible and the rewards aren't sufficient.
Then a newbie corps can have a chance to name the planet "WhileYouWereQQingWeWereWinning" |
