I won a couple of dropships so I think I will head to Oceania and try to take it out for a spin. Instructions make it look easy but I know I gotta get over that initial "feel" of it.

There are only a few installations where you can truly wrack up the kills and those include ample cover. Any map with wide open skies makes you an easy target to forge gunners. Swarming an ADS is easy to dodge, but swarms can be ample harassment to logistics/standard models perhaps.

CCP please change them and make it simpler. The way it was during the beat dropships were just fine. I want a refund of my last 6 drop ships that crashed to learn how to pilot them. And BTW I still can't control them. I will try after checking the video, but I am not optimistic.

The controls are just fine, I can make my python do damn near anything I want it to without even thinking. Practice more, that is what all the good pilots did/do.

The non ADS are only frustrating if you expect them to behave like an ADS, which is silly. They are not, and behave not. Its the same controls only the non ADS is slower to respond. Perhaps a video showing the same maneuvers with a non ADS would help people who are not very adept at piloting like yourself. A good idea there IWS.

Really wish I could fly dropships more often but I feel a bit compelled to keep hitting my weekly cap on my main account so . . . Hopefully Minmatar and Amarr dropships are on the way soon.

Ark Angel Clone-A Fenrir's Wolves RUST415 9	Posted - 2013.07.27 02:07:00 - [22] - Quote what would be cool is if CCP could add some type of lock on feature to assault dropships kind of like how eve ships lock on but instead of every shot being a insta hit or near miss it would be depending on which way your facing and your position in flight for example: if you were standing still and a DS was flying by and you had missle the each missile would fire in the DS exact last postion instead of the follow you until u die missiles in eve. that would be kinda cool and really helpful for pilots. p.s. also it would only lock on DS unless you have a special module to allow you to lock on ground vehicles but only requires a low skill set.
