That's right, I'm back on my horse pushing for recognition of this serious problem.
CCP: What gives?
You introduce a clearly broken mechanic, recognize it's broken in your weekly roundups, then continue to do nothing about it?
The blatant abuse of vehicle recall mechanics is getting pretty rampant, yet there has been no word from a Dev or other party that any action will be taken about this. So, can we get a blue post just to at least give AV players who are out there fighting the good fight that there is some light at the end of the tunnel? If so, when can we expect it(1.4? 1.5? Even futher out??)
Heck, it's not like it's a super hard fix. Extend the time it takes to recall, cause damage(to the vehicle) to cancel the recall, force an actual RDV to pick the asset up, SOMETHING!
Really tired of tankers first response to being hit by Non-Grenade AV being: 1) Activate all modules 2) Jump out 3) Recall
This is especially apparent in multiple situations: -Redline Sniping Tanks -Tanks already traveling at speed(They just go behind a building and recall) -Gallente tanks(Insanely fast, just go behind a small bit of cover and recall) -Pubstomp matches where the defending team can not provide boots on target to threaten/supress a driver who gets out to recall
Sorta curious of this is something that a CPM would mayhaps weigh in on if a Dev does not? Used to be every once in a blue moon, but now simply getting out and recalling is fast becoming the go-to defense for Tank Drivers, and it's getting really bad.

Unless AV gets a nerf, I say no. The reason they jump out and recall is because AV kills them so fast, its recall or die. |

The only way HAV or DS users can go ISK positive is to recall their vehicles whenever possible to prevent destruction. |

HTFU and stop being AV if you can't kill tanks. |
