Pretty sure that "Bringing down an empire" was just marketting fluff. I dont think they'll SERIOUSLY let you destroy 1 of the 4 major empires (Cladari, Gallente, Amarr, Minmatar). Currently they're working on the core mechanics, they havent reached that point where they're free to do whatever they want to the game like setup faction vs faction that would influence both EVE and New Eden's lore (News press). |

pretty sure if we put together a big enough alliance eve side and dust side we could take down one of the 4 major empires |

Maybe not the 4 empires, but in EVE you can take down large corporations. Hell, there was a war started because of a mouse click. |

Pretty sure that since the empires are NPC's, that this isn't possible. |

Uber EVE Pew Pew Spaceship Nerds won't ever let DUST influence anything that happens in EVE.
If CCP allows it they would just be pooping where they eat.
EVE makes CCP money not DUST. |
