I been waiting for someone to start a thread on this but seems peeps forgot about them, the cool looking aur suits that we bought in closed beta were changed to look exactly like the basic suits that you can now buy with isk. I want my white heavy suit back and the Neo heavy that was released a couple months back used to have camo on it and now is just plain navy blue. Why cant CCP make new looking suits instead of changing the old ones? |

A few times I've thought it's really odd that although there are probably thousands of combinations of skill build / fitting in Dust but everyone looks the same!
What I mean is they have gone to all the effort of designing a hugely customisable system for player builds but done nothing at all regarding cosmetic customisation, which for a lot of people, especially those that like traditional MMOs, is quite compelling.
I was thinking about Brink the other day. Now that game was (also?) pretty flawed but I loved it, and one of the nicest things about it was the depth of visual customisation available.
Agreed it wouldn't come near the top of any list of development priorities now for Dust but it would have been nice if it had been in there all along.

I agree with OP; that said, since this is a vanity thing (i.e. purely cosmetic) I would expect this to be a back burner kind of thing. I think new maps are the priority of the art department at the moment. |

All these AUR suits with the cool colors and camos should have an ISK equivalent, because as it stands I see a good bunch of people wearing these around in the warbarge but no one brings them out to battle because they already have the skills for the ISK versions. It results in a pretty dull looking battlefield. |

I disagree, as this is the kind of thing that you should have to pay money (AUR) for. CCP has to make money or they can't develop the game. (just my thoughts) |

cosmetic customization would be a nice thing, that way we could also put in our corp insignia's and even the corp colors & patterns. |

(just my thoughts) The suits have a purpose other than the looks, and that is unlocking them at an earlier level. But once you get to the level you need then what? You're just left with a less cool looking suit.
If they want to make money on it than perhaps make camo something you can purchase one time per type of suit suit (Minmatar Assault suits, Gallente Logi suits, Caldari Medium suits, etc) and then have it apply to all of those suits from their on out, including ones you buy in the future with ISK. |

Agree but I should have to pay for an editor and possibly pay for packs of different layers to be customized.
That I would do but paying for a pre done suit that is disposable is laughable, pass. |
