Yes.
Be sure to use the assault though. It's the only way to fly.
However, the breach does have its charms. |

100% worth it. On one of my speed fits I run dual adv smg and it is lethal if you use it tactically. Much better than the standard, though I've never used the toxin. |

I use the M512-A (Dont have the SP for Assault yet  ) and I run two on my Scout suit with a Flux and REs.
I like it, I use it when Shotgun aiming doesn't work for me, because every shot doesn't have to hit with the SMG  |

If you use your SMG alot, it's definitely worth it. SMGs are amazing in cqc |

I use the advanced assault version with my SS and PRO at level 3. It's really good close up and also has decent range for a sidearm. I run it on my advanced AV suit and it's saved my butt several times against those pesky infantry. Can't wait to try it with my skills at level 5.
The officer version SMG is just downright nasty. Too bad I only have 12 of them. |

Yes. 512 is OK, but 209 is where it's at. Assault (M209 and Ishukone) above all else.
Mind you I've got prof=5 and sharpshooter=4, as I'm running SMG as my main weapon, so I know what I'm talking about.
This is the most fun a guy can have without going HMG/Forge in this game. Seriously awesome weapon in close and below medium range encounters. ADS on <15m and going for the head is bliss. |

Yes totally worth it and don't stop there. I have my SMG skills maxed out and it's amazing. Ridiculous accuracy and stopping power. Plus they are the coolest looking weapon in the game atm. |

Absolutely worth it - the M209 is awesome and a lot less pricey than the proto versions. Take it from someone who uses exclusively pistols and SMGs. |
