You've lost your fizz. Your a flat soda. No more bubbles. You've expired. Need I go on?
Game is free and fun. I have little expectations of it as it is free, so I enjoy it for what it is. |

You misunderstand - this is my approach to life in general, not just the game. I have little to no expectations because I've realized that our expectations are what leads us to be unhappy, angry, or hurt, when those expectations are not fulfilled. I approach all things like this, or at least try to.
I also should clarify - there is a difference between expectation and desire, and you seem to think I mean the one when I say the other.
I desire seeing new content, and give feedback of what I would enjoy seeing.
I desire fewer bugs, and report them when I see them.
I hope CCP listens, but I don't expect it so that I am not disappointed if it doesn't happen.
This is the difference between a positive and negative outlook on life in general.
I can't completely eliminate my expectations, but I can manage them.
At no point did I say that I don't want the game fixed and/or added to. Just that because I manage my expectations, which I use the free to pay aspect as a tool to do so, doesn't mean that I won't leave if it stops being fun for me.
Fact is - as long as it is fun and it is around I will play the game. So far, because I manage my expectations, CCP has succeeded for me with this game. They release a point release every month or so (no other game does that, and this goes a long way for me); they implement a group of players to serve as representatives for the players and to put forth our ideas. I will be happy to see these individuals become elected instead of appointed, but at the same time CCP is the only company to institute player representation in this way (both in Eve and Dust). (Note: I'm not saying that I support or don't support what the CPM says/does, only that I support and applaud CCP for implementing this.)

Also some of us actually have money invested in dust, no games are free, there are always people footing the bill, so any dust514 non contributors obviously could care less, they are just piggybacking off the paying customers, if you like the game go buy a merc pack cheap ****! CCP is obviously in need of cash for development!
Um, I have. Quit yelling and act like the adult you claimed to be sir. |

If you want to use that argument, then so can I.
Next time someone tells me to stop AFKing in the MCC and contribute to the battlefield, I'll just reply "b-b-b-but it's a FREE GAME!".
There we go; now we can fully agree.
You say that as if AFK players anger me. I find that funny.
Also, read my post about managing expectations for yourself, which is what I'm talking about, to help keep yourself from getting upset. Perhaps it will be clearer what I meant. |

Question: how often does CoD release new maps, and do you get bored with them as well? (assuming you play CoD) |

(assuming you play CoD) Map packs come out about every three months and there are usually three or four of them for each game. For BLOPS2, they contain four multiplayer maps each (the game launched originally with 15 maps and 13 distinct gametypes).
Thanks. So we just got some new maps just over 2 months ago (granted that there were only 2, but they did put in variations of each map based on game mode). To me, this says we are just fine on the release schedule of new maps and that asking for new maps to be released in about a month would be in line with the "standard" set by (what I'm told) is the best FPS game out there.
Cool - so Sota is jumping the gun. Thanks for the clarifying. |
