CCP you need to keep the customer base up. besides fixing the bugs and getting the rest of the game done, think about the newbs:
While they are in Academy, for gods sake include a tutorial mode that makes sense, what little tutorial the game does right now is a mildly confused mess.
Have them go through a basic movement and tactics drill as part of the academy B$ they see a battle. I had the advantage of playing during beta but when I cam back, the guys I played with were well past the academy time and as I was playing with them I had to learn the hard way - in full battles which was painful at best, I was a sodding liabilty until I got the hang of it..
Right now they go through academy feel great, join an NPC corp by mistake and then get murdered by the other corps constantly and quit the game, not good for AUR sales for you,not good for the player base to have a small group of players to play against either. If DUST is to survive as a commercial project,you need to repair the foundations before the entire place collapses around you, better yet don't build it on quicksand lol, as the game is sinking, I happen to really like DUST bugs not withstanding and would hate to see it fail, so do yourselves a favor and sort the foundations out of what could be a damn good project if you get it right.
SO fix the academy to work better and provide some encouragement to the mercs that stay through that period, give them say 2kAUR to buy some toys toplay with as a reward for passing boot camp, it will make them happy and could lead to bigger customer base |

Much needed, hard to implement. Like the free AUR (so long as I get it too) especially as it is not enough to buy a bp, that's not what we need. |

That's why I said a low AUR figure or the entire game willbe nothing but BPO fits |

What CCP needs to add is a "hi-sec" area with PVE for new players to learn the ropes and build up some isk and sp so they aren't protostomped all the time. |
