I'm talking about a one time purchase, say $5 -$10 worth of Aurum, that would allow you to select and apply a variety of new asset models that reskin your merc depending on race and dropsuit type.
These new models would be made by CCP and allows them to get creative with their art department, as well as potentially making new assets for future use (say in PVE).
Riot does it with League of Legends, and they seem to be very successful in being able to make money off of the same idea. With the same business-model of F2P, it would make sense for CCP to do something similar, especially with all the cries of P2W by getting 'early-unlocks' of proto-Aurum tanks, weapons, or whatever.
Think about it... replacing your lame Amarr Heavy with a Blood-Raiders Heavy skin. Twisted designs in the armor are reminiscent of the Blood Raider's demonic cult, the suit itself looking bloodstained from their sick rituals. Maybe even a pair of devilish horns crowns this beast.
On the other end, we have an Imperial Amarr Heavy skin. Clad in gold from head to toe, this skin sports a flowing black cloak with the Amarr emblem emblazoned on it. "For the Empress! BURN THE HERETICS"

At one point we were going to get the color wheel, which would allow use to change the color of our suits. Though, as I hear, CCP either gave up on this idea o or it is on the back burner. Most likely because people buy Aur suits more if they are better looking, so by adding the option to change color, less people would want to buy them. |

Some kind of Noble Exchange would be nice. A place to sink AUR into  But it has to be BPO. Imagine all the QQ if you go into battle with all this vanity plastered on you and gone in 10 seconds never to return...
Some ppl have proposed adding a "vanity slot" to our dropsuits (and vehicles maybe?). |
