I had an idea the other day, that I thought I'd share with you all. It concerns dropsuit and vehicle fittings, and a clever way for a corp to manage their mercs' assets for PC battles, or any other kind for that matter.
It would work thusly, that a player can tag their fittings as viewable by the corp, or perhaps a single corp member, in the role of quartermaster. Then, before a big battle, in corps where gear is supplied by ISK from the corp wallet, the quartermaster can quickly purchase and transfer full fits to the participating mercs, and that way avoiding the chaos of making regular ISK donations. It would also allow the corp to ensure that the member isn't simply lying about having run out of a tank fit, and just banking the money. Requesting restocks could also work, just give the quartermaster a notification of the ISK cost, and a simple grant/deny option.
Down the line corp assets could be introduced, so the corp can stock up on certain fits, allowing or disallowing certain mercs to access them in battle, and maybe even limit it to certain battle types (PC, FW...). Have the fittings show up in a different colour in their fittings list, when useable, and allow corp directors and quartermasters to view a log of lost fittings, allowing them to decide if little Timmy is ready to fly that dropship just yet, seeing as he crashes 5 times per game, on average. |

I think that simple corp assets would be just as good as this.

I think a setup like the Corp Leader/Officers can set up multiple suits and they maybe have a tag in front like [Corp] or something and anyone in the Corp can use them. Examples [Corp] Caldari Basic Assault, [Corp] PC Amarr Proto Logi, this could help give players ideas of good fits and allow your corp to set suits you want people to be able to run in things like PC as minimal standards. If you can't use them because of lack of skills they could just be redded out like if you run out of a fitting normally. Just a rough thing I thought up |
