When you go to the Battlefinder and join a battle, the war barge docks with the space station in which your merc quarters are, and you actually board the war barge and get inside it. You then have to get inside the MCC as it is deployed from orbit from the war barge to the district on the planet.
It would be cool to watch the MCC blow up in first person as just part of the action, and not some after-battle cinematic.
it would be nice if the winning team's members still on the ground could wander the battlefield for few minutes after the battle to fight over and salvage for dropped goods instead of just automatically receiving it after the battle.
It would be nice if there were no red zones to artificially constrain us so we could take long flanking routes in what would normally be the red zone to attack the enemy from behind, or do other sorts of maneuvers.
It would be nice if Ambush didn't have some artificial timer without any in-game explanation.
It would be cool to be able to use your gun while in the passenger seat of a dropship, or LAV.
It would be cool if each time you transfer your mind to a different clone, you could experience your eyes opening, and exciting the CRU, and being released from a rack of clones. Same for waking up in a clone in your merc quarters after a battle.
These sorts of things would really help with immersion. Things are so fragmented and disconnected by menus, and we don't actually get to do a lot of things that we should. |

it would also be cool if they had hundreds of players on one huge open map like we were promised in closed beta. don't see that happening with the amount that's in the player base, I can dream though... |

CCP has again and again touted immersion in eve to be a top priority, but in dust they seem to just say, "lets be like call of duty with the spawns out of thin air, even if they explain through micro wormhole tech it doesnt feel like im a clone
at big popa yeah we can, that would be a perfect dust |

So instead of standing around holding our dicks in the warbarge, now we get a 30 minute trip down to the planet during which no combat occurs?
Sounds like a great way to break up the boredom of pub stomping. |

It would be great if i could actually kick out idiots out of my tank and then lock the doors
Roll down the road and a decent pace and be able to turn off the road and go over a few bumps without taking enviromental damage because i have suspension and futuristic tank where soil doesnt **** it up and cause damage
Enter a compound and survey the area and pass on through while my gunners lay down suppressive fire where my tank can hold up to the flimsy AV nades that the tryhards carry expecting it to be a substitute for proper AV weapons
As i exit i hear a lock on and try to round the corner just as the tone goes to a full on beep and the missiles are launched
Luckily for me they hit the object i drove past but he ran out of the compound to try again, once again more beeping as more missiles are fired at me
I deploy my ECM and the missiles blow up in the cloud while he fails to lock back on due to my countermeasures no matter how much bunny hopping he does
My gunner shoots him and he dies

You know what would be cool?
If the gunner in a LAV wouldn't commit suicide by firing on the move in a PC match.
Just saying. |

I would like some urban warfare and not just open area with a few installations.
The fighting on capital ships idea also sounds pretty good. |

@OP
All of the things you mention would be great additions if this were actually an MMO and not just connected to an MMO. I would love it if CCP decided that this was an MMO with elements of FPS framework rather than an FPS with elements of MMO framework.
It is still my sincere hope that we one day have something similar to Red Dead Redemption multiplayer. Vast, wide open maps representing Districts that can be freely roamed, travelled between and even terraformed with District Sovereignty. Drop little kiosks around each map where players can opt-in for lobby shooter action similar to what we are currently restricted to. In the long-term, having totally transparent connectivity with Eve would be the ultimate goal; being able to board a shuttle at a District Spaceport and riding it to the station X kilometers above the surface.
The hope that we will one day have this (or something close) is what keeps me playing this game, if I wanted a lobby shooter experience, I'd be playing one of the dozens of others that are currently saturating the FPS market. |

Kinda sounds like what CCP did with the loading bar in EVE, they replaced the loading bar that popped up every time someone used a gate to jump to another system with a small scene where you can see the ship warping through. |

It seems you want DUST to play like an MMO.
